Looking back, I think many of us had a Miss Dove in the course of our school career: we may not have liked her at the time, but with the passing of years, I think we've come to appreciate all that she did for us. I grew up in the 1950s and 60s and my family had a black and white TV. So looking at a movie like this one in beautiful colors wasn't availableyo us. Although I saw movies in color at the cinemas. I also liked as a kid, watching oldies on TV, I enjoyed them better than some of the "new" movies made in the 50s and 60s and onward. I liked Chuck Conners, I used to watch him in the Rifleman TV show in the late 50s and early 60s.
