My wig once fell off while playing Madame Thenardier and it was the worst.. I was very lucky my onstage husband was the best at making a funny moment of the whole thing, he acted as if he didn't know his wife did not have the big red hair that was the wig. He acted very much surprised that my hair was shirt and blonde and he screamed 'oh my god! You lied toe me!' it was an experience...

The Glinda understudy on Broadway has been there since 2006 or 2008! She has a daughter so you could be right about the financial stability. And the King George understudy on Broadway was part of the original company and is still there!

I had a crap dressing room at the Alexandra theatre in Birmingham it was literally the boys toilet 🚽 but just looked back at the time me and Oliver ormson were in panto 🎭🎭🎤🎼together at the Lichfield Garrick you played the prince and I was the butler boy and a mouse in Cinderella 2014/2015 was such a fun show but scary as I was 9 it was my first ever proper show and I had to sing a solo but I remember the first day I went to the rehearsals all the children said there names and I remember you saying oh we have the same name and I was like yes cool 😎 name (which it still is) I clearly remember the set being very pink in the show and everyone was wearing pink in the finale also remember u smashing everlasting love in the finale also allo allo actor Arthur Bostrom being in it was such a good show and had a great time would love to go back in time and do it again 👍

In regard to missing props, I was in The Importance of Being Earnest and I was playing a servant who just popped in and out every once in a while, so I was usually backstage hanging out with the ASMs who were on headsets. Act 2 started and an important prop wasn't preset and the stage manager saw it wasn't onstage and let us know backstage. We were freaking out for a few seconds before I just grabbed it, walked on, and handed it to the actress right before she had to start talking about it. Something no one in the audience would notice, but our hearts were going backstage like we'd just run a marathon.

Where I live, our local theatre has a cast of about 20-25 actors and they do 10-12 plays every year. Sometimes, one actor will be in one show on monday, do a different play on wednesday, then again the first on thursday and maybe a third play on friday and saturday. So doing a different show every month is definitely possible, but props to those guys.

I work FOH in a theatre and there's an old man that buys a bag of sweets every time he visits, but he also asks for a large plastic cup. He takes the packet and then empties it into the cup. Voila - a game changer! If only every customer did the same. I try to encourage them to do the same.

I saw a touring production of Blood Brothers where the actor playing Mickey was in his 14th year as the character! He was absolutely incredible but couldn’t imagine having to keep up that level of emotion every night for 14 years!

I have one of those tshirts, I love it! They have 16 different musicals on! Acting for others has raised a tonne of money. We had to guess them all for a round for the quiz i do on a Saturday, an mt quiz. Yes they should sell sweets in tubs or little boxes or something.

I remember seeing Come From Away on the west end and one of the actors had a really persistent cough and I felt so bad for her because she was covering up her mic and facing away from the audience in between her lines! And then whenever she had a line you could hear in her voice that she was trying to push down a cough! I was very impressed though!

I went and saw The lady in black and rustling sweets were banned. They handed you a cup that you could decant them into. It was genius. I just eat my sweets in the interval haha. My problem is I notmally have a primark bag and my long legs are forever kicking it in the middle of the show 😂

When it was the Jamie cast change in January, I'd had this alarm that was set on my phone for 8:30 to get off my phone to reduce screen time, and I forgot to turn it off! I rung for about a minute before I realised it was me and then quickly turned it off. It haunts me to this day and it was the single most embarrassing thing to happen to me in my life. I felt so bad for the audience as I was close to the front and it was literally the one time I forgot to turn my phone off as I was about to but then the show started. It will literally never happen to me again, I promise!

With what Oli said about itching, I once saw Aladdin on the west end, and during proud of your boy, he reached up, covered his mouth (and his mic) and scratched the bridge of his nose for a good few seconds. It took me COMPLETELY out of the show because it’s this beautiful moment and now I’m wondering why he didn’t sound muffled with his hand over his face. So obviously while speaking or just in character it’s fair enough, I do think sometimes that scratching an itch can ruin the illusion a bit.... amazing video though, I love these 💕

Gosh I had the worst experience sitting near someone on their phone, during the recent Broadway production of Miss Saigon. This businessman, who was maybe 3 seats down from me, just kept looking at their phone throughout the WHOLE SHOW. Then at the most emotional point in the show in Act 2, HE LEAVES THE FRICKEN THEATRE! So while (spoiler) Kim is having her 'little fall of rain' moment, I'm having to squish up to let this man past and completely block the view, just so he can answer a damn phone call!
