Albert Lee is much more than the "guitarist's guitarist" (though that of itself would be quite enough). He is also a true gentleman, kind, and amazing as it seems for a man who displays real genius, modest too. I really like this single and look forward to many more years of Albert Lee's music.

This is the best country version of "Time of Your Life". So blues, so loose, so country, so ranchy, but still punky. Amazing cover. Bravo, magnifico.

"Good Riddance", defined as "perfect move on", is a song that tells the story of Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day vocalist), who is committed to living a better life, after breaking up with his girlfriend who moves to Equador. So actually this song is a song of heartbreak. Being denied or not, being abandoned by a lover suddenly, definitely makes our hearts upset and hurts. However, should we hold on to the pain all the time? Of course not, right? This song views that a breakup is not just a matter of heartache. Therefore, rather than dissolving in sadness, it is better to take all lessons from a breakup of love. Breakup is a test, so it all depends on how we react. Want to constantly be upset or get up and "move on" to be a better person. This song also tells us to respect time, and never waste time. Because we will not know what will happen in the future, so that we will not regret it later. This song is the most controversial song that Green Day has, but also the most unique and popular. Some people say this song is a betrayal of punk music. Green Day is considered to have lost the soul of "punk" that they have been carrying so far because of this song. But it turns out, this song is the most "punk" song that Green Day has, you know? How is it so different from the above statement? Yes, you need to know, punk music doesn't have to be loud. But, punk music is a musical expression of freedom. And that means this is the most "free" song that Green Day has. In 1998, the video clip for this song won the "MTV Video Music Award" for "Best Alternative Video". This song is always the closing at every Green Day concert. And somehow, this song is often become theme song for graduation. I really like this song. I'm sure you are too.

Fuckin' astounding talent. Voice and guitar. All you hear still to this day is Hendrix, Clapton, Hendrix, Clapton, Blah blah. Even mediocre 'Slash' of G'n'R..........Guitar hero, my arse. Who'se heard of this guy ? For the most part, nobody.......even people who think they're in the know. This mans' name is not even in the finalists for the league of greats ? Scandalous and shameful. He's a far greater musical technician than Clapton, and the second fiddle isn't even passed his way. I give up. He's a pensioner in this clip, and still shines like a crazy diamond. The mans' on fire. Brilliant. Check him out riffing over JJ Cales cocaine. Never fails to start my trousers flapping, as if caught in force ten gale. I don't wear hats, but if I did it'd be removed for Albert Lee.

Ian Davis He's a guitar player's guitar player. The right people know how good he is :-)
@iandavis573910 жыл бұрын
Shane Wright You're right. I'm not suggesting nobody's heard of this guy. I was just expressing my distaste for the constant drone of 'Know nothings' who constantly photocopy their ignorance all over the place..........Clapton, Hendrix, Page, ad infinitum, all good guitarists, but nowhere the the technical skills of Mr Lee. I think the above mentioned trio are the bleedin' obvious, but thanks to our Time Warner culture, Lee's sadly over looked for the most part. A bit like the arsewits from the late eighties who were fed the notion that Nigel Kennedy invented the violin....... He didn't, and he's passed into history......Thank Christ !
@shanewright277210 жыл бұрын
Agreed 100% I guess I meant to say he gets his praise from the people he'd feel best about getting praise from - people who know guitar, not people who know the radio
@iandavis573910 жыл бұрын
You expressed it very well with your previous comment. I just had to seal it with my assertion that Clapton was not god and Jimi Hendrix was not the best guitar player in the history of rock. Clapton, Hendrix and Page were great players.....No doubt. But there's something about stock broker types with their rack system DVD players in the Bentley or Maseratis and idiots at the office who 'Peacock' about the place shovelling their prowess of rock knowledge in the faces of the 'Thick'. Not just these types, but you know what I mean. If you mentioned Albert Lee to these tits, they wouldn't have an arsing clue what you're talking about. Sadly their lack of knowledge perpetuates the notion that real superior talent doesn't stand a chance unless it's going Platinum or Gold, while failing to realise that foot soldiers like Lee and countless others were the real reason why major hits had half a chance in the first place. Jimmy Page was another foot soldier of this genre.........The session musician extrodinaire...........not to mention John Paul Jones. But your average 'Know all' didn't and still doesn't have the foggiest notion of these people other than the time they became 'Stars' in their own right. When Page and Jones were at the forefront of Zeppelin fame, ninety percent of Zep fans at the time (And probably today) hadn't a clue of their musical pedigree. They were actually musicians with a huge repertoire of hits throughout the 60s and 70s as opposed to being simply 'Cock' rockstars in a 'Leather Balled band'. They weren't just members of a hugely successful rock band. They were masters of their craft. Albert Lee comes from this stable of sheer talent, and people who've never heard of him, have actually heard the fruits of his talent and don't realise the 'Hits' they all love and cherish were made possible by the sonic genius he brought to the studio and live performances. I could go on. But I better stop. Peace and love. Talk soon.
