The piano solo in this is perfect. One of those tunes that gets better as the years go by.

Hanging by the pool at my apartment complex in the 80's with my boom box hearing this song brings back so many memories. I loved it. So glad I grew up back then. Music was by far the best. Drive in's, bon fire's, keg parties. Those were the times my friends.

I sure do miss the 70s and 80s. The music today is not even the same. Sometimes I wish I could find a time machine and go back in time. Life was much easier and everyone enjoyed life! Is this your favorite song ?

FINE YOUNG CANNIBALS was the Sound Track of one the most exciting times of my life. I love them and I am still having an EXCITING TIME. They are defo one of the best bands in the last 30 years,. Love 'em!!!
For those wondering, the musicians are lead vocalist Roland Gift; background vocalists George Chandler, Jimmy Chambers, and Jimmy Helms; guitarist-tambourine player-beatboxer Andy Cox; piano soloist Jools Holland; and keyboardist-bassist-drum programmer David Steele.

Summer of 1989...one of my best. Memories of visiting my brother in Ogden, Utah. Going to Lagoon Amusement Park, 49th Street Galleria, Salt Lake City. Watching UHF, Major League and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures in the theaters and Fine Young Cannibals were at the top of the charts. Being 15 years old, damn that was a great summer.

Great song! My first vehicle was a brand new '79' Vespa P200E. I loved this bike, so much. One day, nearly a decade later, or so, this song came out and I thought it was great and even better, when I saw the video. I kept my Vespa until I moved to Florida, back in 1997 and decided this state is not motorcycle friendly, so I sold her to a guy, who refurbished my baby, back to showroom new and as far as I know, he still has her. My Vespa was MY 'Good Thing'! =)

I will always remember this song since it is one of the few songs that I can safely say crossed the generations in its musical appeal to my parents. One day on the way to the dentist in 1989, this song came up on the car radio and my Mom turned it up loud and said it was a really good song! Every time it came on the radio for the next year or so, she'd blast it and get excited about the song! I guess it was one of the few times we agreed musically! :-) #FYCGOODTHING

Such a great and iconic song...timeless!! When music was still pure, great, fun and with soul, very proud to have grown up in the 80’s and 90’s when the best pop artist and music was created (no offence to the few good talented singers we still have today though, just my humble opinion 😉) hope the younger generation may appreciate music without auto-tune which makes everything so commercial and less genuine 😚😎have a lovely day 🤗stay safe 🙌🏽
