It's nice to revisit this song when I'm not listening to it for a month straight after a break up.

This is sick. Thanks, Misha Mansoor for always wearing GoodTiger shirts. I finally checked them out and they kick ass. Just bought this record, and pre-ordered the new record on bandcamp.

New album!!! Also the drummer left.. COVID.. 3/4 of the band is British locked down toight and most would agree it never really fully lifted. But new album!!! Maybe they’ll find the right drummer and tour again 💪 I would watch them with ggd backing tracks.

All these people complaining about Good Tiger not being "metal" sure have a shocking lack of understanding the genre in the first place. Probably the "if-it-ain't-Slayer-it-ain't-metal'-type. Yikes.

it doesn't have anything to do with being metal or not... it just sucks... loll
@rodrigoperez2448 жыл бұрын
It sounds closer to melodic post-hardcore/modern prog rock, not exactly Metal. There are no Metal riffs. Is it bad? Hell no, but it doesn't has the basic Metal elements and riff type. Distortion + heavy drums =/= Metal. There are many genres with distorted guitars and heavy instrumentation that are not Metal in the slightest.
@YoLpIsBest8 жыл бұрын
They definitely have more heavier tracks on the album that can be considered to be metal tracks. This is on the realm of prog rock/metal.

It sucks when the label doesn't post the lyrics.. Aspirations Take a look into these eyes and tell me what you see. I built your trust just like this world hopefully it wont end badly. Take these whispers in your ear and tell me what you hear. Crashing the world brick by brick told you all it would end badly. I would like to build this world around you. And I would like to crash this world around you. Don't you forget that there were ways around the mess that I had made. Take it in stride cause you are all I need. I would like to build this world around you. And I would like to crash this world around you. Let me in. Let me in. Let me in Baby. Let me in. Let me in. Let me in oh. Let me in. Let me in. Let me in Baby. Let me in. Let me in oh honey. Let me in. Let me in. Let me in love. Let me in. Let me in oh honey. Let me in. Let me in. Let me in baby. Honey I built all these thing for you. Honey what do I have left to prove? Beyond the moon, beyond the stars is a place inside my heart. I built all these things for you. Something no mortal would ever do. Take what I've given and try to leave. Take what I've given and try to leave. I would like to build this world around you. And I would like to crash this world around you. Around you. P.S Great job guys!

Just a little FYI on Good Tiger: formed after the breakup of The Safety Fire, features both of The Safety Fire's guitarists (Derya Nagle and Joaquin Ardiles),, Alex Rudinger, Morgan Sinclair, and Elliot Coleman. If you want to hear a more "metal" song by them, go listen to Snake Oil, All Her Own Teeth, or '67 Pontiac Firebird. This song does have some sweet riffs in it, though.

Can we just talk about how a song without any harsh vocals at *all* is endorsed by Metal Blade Records? I fuckin' love that.
@metalbladerecords8 жыл бұрын
The label started with traditional metal and prog in the early 80s. It was weird when Cannibal Corpse signed with the label - they were the odd men out.
@sacredxgeometry8 жыл бұрын
Well, it's not the 80's anymore so to me that is simply irrelevant. Good job at signing them though, they are a great band.

@sacredxgeometry7 жыл бұрын
?
@squirrelykev39297 жыл бұрын
There's a message to the context. How is it irrelevant? They've been doing it since the start and won't stop and this is an example of that theory.
