This movie broke my heart and made me smile all while keeping me on the edge of my seat. The most powerful onscreen depiction of two brothers fighting their way through the world since "Hell or High Water." the offscreen work put in by Robert Pattinson and Ben Safdie's really shines through onscreen - there's a powerful unspoken shared history of love, pain, sorrow and determination that moved me to tears. Here's hoping the AMPAS bestows many nominations upon Good Time! I love this movie!!!!

Indeed. Why there are people who still think he can't act I will never understand except that they are just irrationally hating on him because he played a fictional character in that horribly written twishit and they can't differentiate between fiction and reality for the most part so I'll just leave it at that. At least he's one of the few actors from that damn franchise whose career only gets better with time (with the recently released the Lost City of Z actually doing really well at the box office in a short time even with minimal promotion) and good respectable directors actually still cast him even without watching twi-shit. Exactly what I thought too, I felt it was a mixture of Running Scared, Drive, and Nightcrawler. Running Scared in the way that the protagonist is on a never-ending nightmarish adventure that keeps changing; Drive in its cinematography style and electronic music; and Nightcrawler in the way that the protagonist is actually a narcissistic sociopath and is the villain in his own story. Just watched Good Time last night, one of the best films I've seen in the past 10 years (right next to Nightcrawler, which is in a league of its own imo).

This movie has really always stood out to me each time I watch it. I’m autistic and this film reminded me of my brother’s relationship. When I saw this film back in 2017 Connie reminded me so much of my brother and he took care of me in my teen years a lot due to our parents schedule and Connie and Nick’s relationship reminds me a lot of me and my brother’s relationship we had when I was in my teen years. Wow. Frenetic excellent. Pattinson as an East Coast conman was spot on brilliant. The scene I can't get out of my head, was the Safdie brother who played Nick. That one tear. Beautifully cast. Wow.
