I watched this as a kid in Australia growing up, now I live in America and watching this scene again brings a tear 😢to my eye. Bless all those in the struggle lord , trying to keep a roof over there heads and the family together. Much love to all. I like how Mr James Evans never gave up on his family and broke his back for em and how Mrs Evans would walk with the lord to keep her family together and off the streets and not do anything illegal to make money. Florida Evans kept her family together with an humble and contrite heart. God knows the heart and many times Florida prayed to God from heart and many times God answered her prayers. Can I be honest with my Good times crew? The way they maintained in the projects for so long and the way they got through so many trials... they kept the fight in themselves. Anybody could end up poor, but this show just reminds you how life doesn’t stop. Everyone played their roles so well it just works. I wish this show wasn’t so underrated.

That smile she gave at the end was pure joy knowing her husband came through and that the good lord answered her prayers. Love this show. He always looked out for his family and he had a strong loyal wife by his side and kept his kids on the straight and narrow. They didn’t have much but at the end of the day they ALWAYS had each other.
