I needed this right now.. I've been depressed for half my life (I'm 16 now) and had many suicidal thoughts. But thanks to all that, despite being inactive for three years, it has brought me closer to Christ, strengthened my testimony of the Restored Gospel and I decided I want to go on a full-time mission! Proud to be a Mormon and yes, it's good to be alive :)

I haven't done the best job with reading the scriptures, praying to my Heavenly Father, or being kind go my 6 year old sister. I know what I have to do, but I just didn't do it. I didn't have the motivation and that didn't help me grow closer to Heavenly Father or the church. But my friend wanted me listen to this song and when I did, I felt the spirit so strong. I've started listening to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and felt peace and comfort listening to the hymns. I've started the book of Mormon again and have started praying and repenting again. I've never felt the spirit so strong and I thank my best friend (who is LDS too) because of her and this beautiful song, I'm back on track and know what I have to do to stay on the right path and hold on to the iron rod. Thank you for this beautiful song! ❤
