Parents, please teach your children about good touch vs bad touch, instead of just "stranger danger." Statistically, the person/s that are most likely to sexually abuse children are family members, friends, and teachers, while complete strangers are in the low percentile. Therefore, teaching them how to recognize wrong conversations and actions from people they know is of much greater value.

I know this is an old post, but I have to comment. Teachers are FAR LESS statistically likely to do that than strangers. The family, and friends is correct but adding teachers is just moronic and disingenuous. Perhaps church leaders ... but even then, I'm not sure if it's more than strangers.

@@EmgoFilms In Canada, between 1997 and 2017 there were 1272 children reported to police as having sexual offences committed against them by school employees (86% teachers). I had trouble finding 20 year for strangers but in 2012 of the approximate 14,000 reported Canada wide sexual offenses toward children 12% of the accused were strangers, so that's 1680 victims in one year to strangers, or approximately 33600 by strangers over 20 years, if it was a typical year. It seems school employees do the bad touch at under 4% the amount of strangers.
