That Thumbnail is the only time any of these Bentaygas will see anything other than smooth tarmac. Maybe a nice long gravel driveway but that's it.

Another great video Tim - love the range of stuff you cover and (unfortunately for others) we appear to share a similar sense of humour! Question: have you driven the latest facelift Volkswagen Touareg? Same MLB EVO platform... offers some of what the Bentley does, yes, I know it isn't at the same level, but for family duties I think it could be better for the less well heeled! IMO it offers even better VFM as an all round package and somehow has an 810 litre boot. A six cylinder 3 litre TDI Black Edition with a few select options, say rear wheel steering, Dynaudio audio upgrade and climate, massage front seats comes in at something like 62k from an online broker. A mini Bentayga for 30% of the cost? Second hand they are even better value of course!

Pick one up for £50K, slap a private plate on it, wrap in some garish colour and bosh…you have a Wag-mobile. You have to respect the fact that VAG has squeezed the pip on this platform and continues to do so for a 10 (ish) year old one.

What a beast! Bentley help with the width, by shortening the nearside mirror, so it stays out of the bushes a bit on country lanes 🤓 I think I’d have mine in the elegant Light Gazelle, or perhaps the more jaunty Candy Red 😀 Edit re the Hi-Fi. Your first pronunciation ’Name’ was correct 👍🏻

Just picked up a new 2024 Bentayga V8S in Magnetic Grey which replaced my previous 2022 Black Crystal. Biggest annoyance on the latest model is the speed warning, really really annoying that you can’t switch it off permanently. I love it when people make comments about how ugly and tasteless they are. I buy what I like and not what others like 😉

This is the way. The speed limit warning is a royal PITA on all 2024-onward cars now, the only saving grace is some manufacturers have made it easy to disable with one button press! Hope you enjoy it!

It's certainly more 'me' than a Urus. I love the Urus, it's fast, it sounds dirty but the interior is a bit '22-year-old grime star' for me. Bentley wins for comfort, Urus wins for boot space!

I love some of the ‘90’s continentals and the very latest GT’s are gorgeous but I really don’t understand this SUV, nor the RR SUV……it’s a cliche but both are just so “pig in lipstick”. I’d have to buy a 911 and a Rangey 😃😃 instead.

They need to make it much more imposing and special looking. When I buy a Bentley I want everyone (including non-car people) to understand that it is something expensive and special. The only luxury SUVs that normal people recognise today are the Range Rover and the Mercedes G-class. I have seen lots of concept drawings and AI drawings of future Bentley SUVs that much better capture the essence of what a Bentley should be. A normal person might mistake this SUV for an Audi or any other generic brand.

@@jimj2683 I’m sure you are right, guess it must be, otherwise they’d probably not make them, but the current market seems to show a sniff that there will be a backlash, on the basis that apart from footballers, most of the folk who buy the loud stuff are doing it on credit, who can’t really afford it, instead of it being a reflection of real money…..cos real money don’t shout about it. A bit like how red Porsches and M3’s became less cool after the 80’s bubble burst.

Not for me, I don't like the exterior 'styling' and the interior has too many echoes of Volkswagen circa 2005. I can't imagine I would ever have enough money to justify spending 24K on a paint colour. Ms Dolly Parton's old line comes to mind - it takes a lot of money to look this cheap. Something the Bentayga seems to have embraced with commendable thoroughness. I mean that camera, really ?
