I looked up to him so much since my childhood and was happy to know him personally. Meeting him in person was on my bucket list for when I was able to travel more. When I first heard of Brett’s passing, I was immediately struck with a type of grief I don’t think I’ve ever really experienced before. Sure, I didn’t know him or any of you guys personally, but watching your videos was always fun and I kind of felt like I was a part of the friend group. Hadn't spoke to Brett in probably 9 years since the Minecraft days (context for those who know, I used to be iWolfyyy). I remember him streaming on his own channel, Bouncininbed, and iamcanadian2 where a bunch of us streamed including myself and we would just hang out, chat, and watch movies/tv shows. I remember those days fondly, Brett was a funny dude. The funniest videos that I still go back and watch to this day is "The Complete Shrek by Chistian Moes" and "Nip Jr High" on his channel as well. Brett orchestrating the whole bit to hilarity and it never fails to make me laugh when I'm having a bad day. Still laugh at the gif I have saved of me, Lauren, Mac, and Brett's face transposed onto the girls from Mean Girls dancing on stage in the santa outfits. Truly gone too soon, R.I.P. I watched Brett back even he was doing sketches with manwith10toes and he did a lot to influence my sense of humor. I had the privilege of being on a few Skype calls with him and folks like HeartBen, and I didn't realize how much I treasured those memories until now. I'm so sad. What a great guy.

I used to work with Brett, he was always so kind and caring. If I was ever having a bad day, he was always there to talk to. I’ll never forget his bright smile, especially when he laughed, he was hilarious. I’ll never forget the day I came into work and they told the store what happened to him, I cried my eyes out in my car. One day he was there happy as can be, and gone the next. I wish I would have known, I wish there were signs, but he never showed it. It felt like a punch in the gut because I already lost a friend the same way years prior. Brett, I hope you’re at peace now, it’s been almost two years since you’ve been gone and it’s not the same without you here. I continued my art like I told you I would. I wasn't really active at all in the discord, but I did get to experience just a bit of Brett's kindness first hand from a brief interaction with him. He had a series of videos he made that was a ranking all the ONUW cards by way of popular vote. Fans of the channel would vote for their least favorite card until there was only one left. We also made predictions for what the top 20 cards would look like, and he did a couple of giveaways based on the results of our predictions. I actually won one of these giveaways because I predicted like 18 of the top 20 cards correctly or something like that. So he emailed me and asked which of the games I had so he could get one that I didn't. I told him that I actually didn't own any of the games so I asked for the original. He could have easily done exactly what I asked and I would have been totally satisfied with it, but he decided to be generous, go above and beyond, and get ALL the games for me. It was such a nice thing to do that was totally unnecessary, and in my mind that gesture said so much about the quality of his character. I don't think anyone knew he did that, he just did it out of simple kindness to another person that he didn't even know. I'm sure the people that knew him personally experienced this kindness from him a hundredfold all the time. I'm so sorry for your loss, and may he rest in peace.

I remember when Brett used to play on the minecraft servers i frequented it was like a celebrity showing up. I always thought he was so funny on Zack Scott's minecraft let's plays. And I also watched the youtube channel pretty much it and was surprised he was roommates with Mike. Brett was a huge influence on my sense of humor. I watched Brett's videos for years. It's heartbreaking revisiting the channel to find tragedy. My favorite Brett moment is a bit biased but it’s the one I look back at and watch the most since his passing. I looked up to Brett for years and when I started to make my own content I reached out to him to appear on a charity event I did, and he without hesitation agreed. And I brought him on as a special guest like 3 hours into a 6 hour stream… Brett began to rattle off jokes about things that we said in passing in the first few minutes, tiny little things no one else would even think about. He was so brilliant and just made every little thing so much funnier, and had everyone laughing so hard. I cherish that time and the other times where I got to spend some time with him. He was the funniest person I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Also the kindest. He was such a sweet person .He’s always gonna be missed.

Brett's videos, especially my favorite game Deception: Murder in HongKong, during 2019-2022 have really helped me in my depression after my gf left me + my career choice became more of a career burden/torture. They helped me see things in a lighter mood which helped me confessing to my mental health issues and seek therapy to improve. I really enjoyed this wrap-up, the 30+ minutes flew by. It is a weird feeling that this almost certainly will be the last video uploaded to the channel. All the best to the entire group, most importantly Katie. My favourite memory related to the channel is how I discovered it right after 17-year-old me moved to a new city. Lying on my bed in the late evening when the sun had set 5 hours ago, eating fruit bars, and binging several episodes at once for days and days. I watched Brett's stuff growing up. Even nowadays I'd occasionally remember the stuff he's produced and featured in and I'd revisit it for nostalgia and a good laugh. my condolences. my good friend passed away a few months ago from my guess is an OD. she was so sweet and kind. but had so many demons. had bad depression and was an alcoholic and had other addictions. only 26. its her birthday today. KZbin recommended me this video on the homepage and I had no idea who you all were before, but I just spent the past hour or so watching this video and some others from this channel. I'm so sorry for what you guys are going through, I know what it's like to lose someone really close to you suddenly and unexpectedly, albeit under different circumstances. You all are so fortunate to be a close and caring friend group and the best thing you can do is stay close and, in your own time, try to continue working together to do what you guys enjoy - and doing it in his memory. You may not know exactly why Brett felt the way he did, but he must have been suffering privately with extreme mental health problems that were, in the end, the thing responsible for taking him. No one else is responsible for it. I've only known you guys for an hour but I wish you guys all the very best. Look out for each other. Oh my god, I'm so sorry. Brett made me laugh every since the skits, what, 10 years ago? More? I put Brett into KZbin poops that are still up on my channel. He was incredibly important to me growing up and finding my creative voice. I didn't pay much attention to this channel but always wanted always to wish him success. I'm so sorry for your loss.

truly devastating news. just wrapped up a game night with family, some of which were games i was introduced to on this channel. i have a copy of onuw that i bought a couple years ago that i’ve never had the chance to play, but i bought it solely bc of how much i enjoyed watching brett and you all play. wishing you all peace and healing ❤️

Thank you for making this video and sharing it with us. I only heard of Brett's passing today and it really hit me. I cried, climbed back into bed and held my wife, and then went into work late. I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through. Know that you are loved by those around you. I started watching BouncinMouncin 5 years ago when I went off to college. I loved the One Night videos and can easily attribute my love of the game to Brett and the whole BouncinMouncin group. Brett always made me laugh and you all were so fun to watch. I know they were just videos, but it felt as though I was there playing along and laughing with you all. I would binge watch episode after episode and the time would fly by. I don't know if I have a favorite Brett moment. The Tanner prank was awesome and seeing Katie's face as Brett was bringing out all the Survivor Prizes gave me a good chuckle too. Just watching the channel grow and develop as you made new friends and explored new games was truly a joy. I am so very glad to have had a little of Brett in my life. I am so sorry for your loss. Brett was an amazing individual. Thank you for sharing him with us one last time. I will be having a ONUW game night asap for him.

​@hi-its-matt this is the same reason why I'm closed in with my feelings, I'm only 21 but man it sucks to just show emotion to people around yourself, not knowing how they'll react. My mum passed back in 2021, and all though I didn't cry at her funeral, I was balling so many tears when I got home. Holding my cat. But it just sucks I can't show that to peolle around me since the last time I had shown what I've been going through my friends also ditched me. Only people I talk about my feelings are a group that are similar to what I'm going through

Brett, with his YT channel, introduced me to ONUW, 5 years ago. I was looking for a party game that could play with my big family and ONUW was a perfect fit. Since then, I’ve been an avid viewer of his ONUW. It’s amazing how much laughing I did out loud by watching a video. My condolences goes out to Katie, Bret’s family and all of his friends. Someone who truly knew how to put a smile on everyone’s face. ♥️ Also, wow y’all got me. I looked on discord and I found out where “Texas” was hahah. Didn’t know until today where Texas was. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, my heart goes out to you. I started watching from the Minecraft days. I've got a memory of a video with a minecraft skeleton and an Adele song in the background that me and my group of friends loved, and I was hooked since. I don't know how many phones I've had since I bought the album, but I've had that Tributes the Stars album on every phone since then as just part of my regular music library.
