Iron sight is not closing, the beef between the western publisher and the development studio escalated with the western publisher didn’t properly manage the release into the western market. So the original studio, iron sight Asia is more updated and made to be better, that is gonna be released into western market as an international version. One is the western version managed by area games( the one that is closing), area games stopped the development for the western market by focusing on skins to suck the game dry. Second version made for the Asian market is far more updated and not managed by area games. The company that made the game wiple pulled out of having area games control the market in the western field. The game is not dead and western market will get the full game that has been developed properly in the Asian market.

i hope they bring in OCE servers for the international version, there is a decent amount of Oceanic players to justify our own servers. It took at least a year for Warface to add OCE servers back to the game so i hope IronSight does this right.

@@itachiemma5604 There are still 2 versions of Ironsight on Steam at the moment, the one run by the developers (Wiple), and the one published by Aeria/Gamigo. The Aeria/Gamigo version is closing its servers on August 10, but the Wiple version is now open to everyone globally (used to be region locked to Asia) and they already have working NA, SA and EU servers as a direct replacement for the Ironsight servers being closed by Aeria/Gamigo. They are however different physical games (the build Aeria were running is/was older). Sadly your player account for the Aeria version will not transfer over to the Wiple version. Its just not possible under EU data privacy laws. So, existing Aeria Ironsight players need to download the Wiple Ironsight and create a new player account/callsign. If you were level 35 or over on the Aeria version Wiple will provide you with some compensation in game when you start playing the Wiple version, in the form of in-game currency (150,000 gold) and a bunch of loot boxes etc. To get this compensation you need to fill out a Google Docs form to be sent to Wiple. Never thought a CoD clone can be better than some CoD games itself. My favorite part of Ironsight was the TTK and slow but steady health regeneration. The was slower than CoD, but not super slow. Slow enough to feel each individual shot land, whether that be on your target or yourself. And the regeneration was slow enough to give you time for an adventageous revenge kill. Sad to see the game go down. I believe I first played after watching your first Is Ironsight Worth My Time video. Only thing I wished was that secondary weapons had attachments. I wanted my Tac Ops 1911 to have a laser and extended mags. Also, I also never got me the tactical cleavage skin either. xD big RIP Edit: just read your comment about the Steam version still being alive. Tactical cleavage grind time!

Being truly honest, as someone who has put over 200h on this game (actually ingame time), it can say it was faded to happen from atleast an year ago. The game was almost never updated, every patch the monetization system got worse and worse, to the point that they entirely removed the hability to get orange collection skins in the gp boxes (even though before the rates were about 0.5% or even lower). Not only that the game had countless problems regarding netcode, balacing, bugs. After they nerfed REALLY HARD the amount of GP you could earn from matches (from the average 500 to 800 gp per match, they made you hardly even earn 200) the game just became ridiculously grindy to the point that it was not worth it to even try to unlock any green skin, and don't even make me talk about how ridiculous it was to grind to the gold skins, while at the same time needing to repair your guns at a high price. The game became worse and worse after everypatch, it started as a decent knock-off with a pretty dang fair monetization system (where even though the rates were shit, I would still feel inclined to spend some bucks on it) to a ridiculously grindy, buggy and shady game. It was painful to be part of the community and see how they slowly killed the game with their greed and lack of actual support, I'm sad that it's closing, but at the same time happy, because atleast it will stay in my memory as a good F2P game that made my year when COD was still garbage and not as another ridiculously pay2win game with an insane grind to any F2P player.

Not really. Part of the reason for this shut down was because the publisher didn’t pay licensing fees for the game which made the developers supposedly fire their own staff. This. I quitted after 100h of playing. It was really fun but it was rarely updated. I quitted for like 3 months to take a break and when i come back there's no major update at all. The only change was new camos. The player base went down by alot. There were no players in rank aswell and most of our clan members quitted. I lost interest in it aswell.

Recap Points: (Wall of Text incoming, you've been warned). - Aeria Games and Gamigo are tied at the Hip and are PUBLISHERS. They are the marketing team to promote games in your region. - Wiple is over seas, they are the creator of the game. - Aeria Games / Gamigo had a fall out with Wiple. Drama was: Aeria / Gamigo said the updates didn't meet their basic quality standards. Wiple said that Aeria / Gamigo didn't pay their fee's to keep making money off their game in our market. (NA). (There is MORE to this but that's the basic gist of it) - At the start of the drama Aeria / Gamigo put out a letter making it sound like it was Wiples fault. They even went a step extra and gave out a MEGA HIGH END Skin loot pack. Please note this was done before publicly saying the game was being moved out of the NA Market by Aeria/Gamigo Games. That's a key point! This was 100% NOT a "Well, game is no longer being done by us, so here.... have some skins. If you ask me... this was 100% out of spite as a "Ya, well here. Try and sell these skins! We just gave them away!". (Mind you, that could be my Tin Foil hat talking). - Aeria / Gamigo then came out and on their first public letter they very well did make it sound like Ironsight was shutting down (not the case). They were just done with the gamea. - A SECOND letter was then sent out a few days later saying "Oh TO BE CLEAR" Ironsight lives on, here is what to do. (This second letter is what should of came out first). My guess, is the got slapped with legal and decided to be more clear. - As far as I know: Your OLD ACCOUNT on the Aeria / Gamigo Ironsight will not be able to be transferred. - There is TWO Versions of Ironsight on Steam! One if Aeria / Gamigo and the other is Wiple. Check the publisher to be sure you have the right one. - There is steps on how you can prove to your account level and Wiple will give you one of 3 level tier welcome packs. But you need to submit the info. (Check the discord for details on this). - So you WILL Need to make a new account on the Wiple Steam Version. You more or less can kiss your old account goodbye. - Last Note: I AM VERY THANKFUL to Wiple for support the game in NA. They didn't have too, it's a risk and we'll see where it goes. But days later they now have NA servers for us to play on!

I just wished this game came to console I never got to experience the game because it was a pc exclusive I hate it when games are pc exclusive because they are leaving a huge portion of the player base in the dust everyone should have a chance to play a game and the only way this game could’ve competed with cod is by porting it to console

The smartest move this game could make under a new publisher is rebrand the game with new similar name sorta like Warface did then put it out f2p on Console & PC with Crossplay. Otherwise yea might as well start digging it's own grave now.

To be honest, I really didn't like PLAYING this game. There's some small things that impact how I enjoy the game greatly, specifically: The guns have always felt very off to me. I feel like I can't hit shots like I can in other games, and the other thing is the health regen. It was FAR FAR too slow. That's the main thing.

Anthony you can try doing some stuff on Call of Duty mobile season 9 is coming out before iron sights shut down and they're adding a whole bunch of customisation when it comes to weapons I feel like that you would geek out over it

I hate this when it happens to good free to play games. I'll always miss PC Hawken. Ironsight really should have been put on steam and Xbox, then it would have done great.

So it's just the end of Ironsight as we know it? Because switching publishers means it might go down a dark F2P path of P2W mistakes and excessive monetization...new map design may suck too, we just have to hope the game can pick up where it left off
