No there is a really good point: the little moons (asteroid shape) are shown as young 'children' and Proteus is young also he doesnt know how to pretend to be a friend, hes just happy to have a friend and was seriously trying to be friends with X but after he hurt the others he said that he isnt friends with X which X clearly knew that

I especially love the part where Proteus confronts X despite being infinitely times smaller than X like Proteus previously stated about all the other moons compared to X. Proteus was the final push for Planet X to realize that vengeance wasn't the way and how in the process of his 'revenge' he also hurted others like he once was by Jupiter and Saturn. Proteus was a moon who genuinely wanted to be friends with Planet X, and X probably valued that friendship between the both of them. But when Proteus, basically his first friend, rejected his ways and told him what he was doing wrong. X was willing to do anything to make it right, even admiting that he wasn't exactly in the right nor Jupiter was in the exact wrong. I think we have all seen Proteus and the other smaller asteroid like moons as, 'kids' but they understand and comprehend situations just as good as everyone else just not always treated seriously (Which for a fact Planet X did listen to Proteus and didn't just shake his confrontation off). It's just an interesting dynamic and analysis of their relationship that I admire too, standing up for what's right despite having to face the ones you care.
