One of the most important racing games ever created, giving us the whole of the USA to explore and race in, along with the return of customization while Need for Speed took another path. Focus on progression and RPG elements while Forza Horizon forgot. The whole of the USA and a story to pull you through it. While never the most polished and solid game, it dared to do what others couldn't... so for one last time we did a full playthrough, this time in 4K 60fps on PC just before the end. Just before the game went offline forever.

I think if you know that you can play the game only for a limited time, I think it is fine to turn the game offline at some point in time. But that is not the case. They sell you a forever license and then take it away after you bought it. In my opinion that is nothing short of fraud.

What I liked about TC1 is that despite its flaws, the game had its own identity, purpose and goal. TC2 and Motorfest are essentially just a carbon copy of Forza Horizon 3 that let you do sweet FA for the sake of appealing to the masses (also “The Crew” had a genuine meaning because you had… a crew?)

I think the reason why The Crew series went away from the illegal street racing atmosphere was the fact that The Crew 1 was directed by Julian Gerighty. Then Stephen Beley directed the Wild Run and Calling All Units expansions, The Crew 2, and Motorfest. Julian Gerighty is now the director of the new 2024 Star Wars Outlaws game.

Ubisoft should remaster this map and offer it as a DLC for The Crew Motorfest on next Gen consoles. The TC1 map is so much better than TC2. The quality of the buildings, the details, the license plates, the colors, the stadiums...etc 👌🏿 Please add this as a DLC...the TCM map is too small!

Man. I remember when you started the beta for the game back in 2013. I remember being so hyped for the game especially when we weren't getting NFS in 2014 and it was basically what we wanted from NFS. This was the game that made me to get a PS4 and I have so many memories with the game. I still remember when they introduced Wild Run and the graphics update was night and day. If this game doesn't get an offline patch, then I'm glad I got to play it.

I put a lot of time into the game in 2016 and 2017 and I will never forget my R34s for each spec, along with the R35 from Calling All Units, the FD from Wild Run, and the S30 for Dirt and Pref. My last memory was modding a Murcielago to my liking out of boredom on The Crew.

I started watching your content thanks to this game, from the jeebus mini to the release of wild run & Calling all units. It sucks to see the sudden end of such a memorable game and what made the channel grow so significantly. Some really fond memories of this game. Not sure if anyone else did it, but I would just, drive. A few times with friends but often just alone. Cross country cruising and listening to the built in radio in the game. Have a few of the in game radio's songs saved to my playlist currently for how fond I am of em. Such a good time, I hope modders can get this game working again, it's such a vibe

Im gonna add my 2 cents here. My biggest pull into this game was huge world, I love exsploration in games, I played FUEL with the biggest map ever put into racing game, game was mid but the world was just so overwhelming I had fun just going somewhere uknown, same with the crew. I would Put my favorite driving music into the playlist and just roamed around the map soaking the atmosphere, views, and do photos and record videos... Im going to miss that. The newest motorfest is just blind follow the most selling trend and there is no soul, just horizon wannabe. Damn im gonna miss this game... I would hope Ubi would do offline mode but hell will freeze before that.

When this game came out my friends and I played this a good amount, I completed the story and then lost interest in it because of the graphics back then, of course later on they updated that and it was sick again. I remember playing gta 5 and we all were waiting to do something together because 2 of them would be doing the long races in this game and I couldn't believe there was races that long. oh man.. I miss a racing game like this so much. It has so much more soul in it than these shiny, happy, we are all friends racing games. Sure nfs still has a darker theme over all but no other racing game gave me so much memories and just absolutely incredible moments like this one and no other racing game has a map which is still after over ten years intresting to play with. It is all about this awesome map combined with the over all theme TC has that made all the bad things (handeling, car sounds etc.) completely meaningless for me. RIP The Crew, I will never forget this game 🥲

I will forever cherish this game. I full played through the story 5 times and nearly 100% my main save. 100 of hours of fun was had with me and friends on this game. The story as far as racing games go is untochable for me especially when paired to its environment. I am praying the lawsuit is victorious or Ubisoft does the right thing.

I've always been into car games and started to learn about them since the early 2000, but The Crew teached me to love the RX-7, since I customized one in this game I always repeated the formula. Also the Abarth 500, that was the only non-american car you could make into a monster, and is now my IRL daily driver!!
