I am a Bluebell Volunteer, while I would like to see the loco steam, I do however know that this would be rather pricy, which, for a loco that can’t even manage our Regular B set, I am afraid it isn’t going to happen.

Very true Toby! Doesn't seem worth it from what I've read based on the limited pulling power

Im glad to hear sharpthorne is getting it long overdue tidy up and its great it will go on display in the shed at Sheffield Park. The loco is in very poor mechanical condition im lead to believe, so the cost/benefit of a return to steam is to great as i wouldnt be able to do anything beyond brakevan rides as its not powerful enough. The P classes and the terriers are at least able to run the vintage service trains

Yeah it will be nice to see it restored at Sheffield park and very true! It makes sense due to pulling power!

@ I did it’s not very good if your a showman’s engine bc you have to power the rides or sit somewhere with the engine but if your a road loco you just do heavy hualge all day

@@Grumpygoodsengine yeah I got that impression from the clips I've seen, but I guess that's what the showman's were made for 🤷
