Might feel like an emotional burden rn letting go of something you've enjoyed for a long time but it's honestly more relieving as you get over it and move on. Tradelands as it is fun at times and great with friends just doesn't live up to what it use to. and probably wont ever will... The best you can do is take the good memories with you and move onto another community or maybe even something bigger. You got the means to build a community and from the sounds of it the skill to start on your own projects so I'm sure lots of people will follow you where ever you go.

Massive respect for actually speaking what's on your mind and realistically what's been on the minds of a lot of other players. The amount of power being misused by TL moderators have pushed so many players away from the game, yet nobody was taken seriously. The game in principle is fun to play, but the influences on the community some moderators have completely ruined the fun for a lot of players. Unfortunately, everyone knows nothing will change even in a year or even 5 years. Sad to see a game decline, but we move on.

I found Tradelands in 2018, and it has quickly become my favourite Roblox game. But over the years, I found that I don't enjoy it nearly as much as I used to. The magic faded out. At first I was kind of sad that I can't enjoy it, but now that I learned about the stuff behind the scenes, I'm just glad I don't play it anymore. The fact that the community is so toxic was my reason why I quit, and got banned from TLO too. It went to the point where I couldn't do anything without being harassed. Of course, I had my own issues, but it's undershadowed by the amount of toxicity, narcissism and hate in the community. The first issue comes with the fact, TL is a P2W on a kid's website. This means that as time progressed, there would be more kids protecting the P2W structure and (pretty much) praising the mods and Nahr as some Gods that can do no wrong. This most likely went into their heads and made the mods feel like Gods (seen as how they act in the community) with the example of Joe killing random people with AKs, giving special ships and power-ups to Nova by Nahr, and (again) all of them throwing lavish parties (I was even in one, at my time with the, unfortunately, now gone El Diablo). Also, don't get me started on the ,,SUPER POWERFUL EXCLUSIVE SHIPS AND HOUSES,, That, is a whole story for itself. I do have to admit though, they nailed the houses (Though, it's ruined with the horrible leveling-up mechanics) Another issue is that they didn't care to help the community. They didn't care about the toxicity and hackers, until it began hitting their wallets (hackers giving away money, ETC.) And let's not start at how toxic Joe is, literally banning people out of his own Bias, with EPICMON not being any better. I feel terrible that they talked so badly about ALL OF US, not just the few people like us. The issue is, Nahr made a heavy P2W, surrounded himself by Yesmen praising him as a God, further establishing his God complex, and *silenced* anyone critical of him. The game has almost 40 million visits, yet less than 100 people. After being banned permanently (for something too stupid to be real) I wanted to give Nahr the benefit of the doubt and think he simply has no time, but his statements and the way he allows this to happen shows his truly terrible side in the spotlight. The game could've been SO SUCSESSFUL, if they simply cared about it, and that fact makes me tear up. Another problem in the community is that, if any other naval game comes out, people will bash it as a ,,TL clone,, and harass others, best example being Turbulent Seas, and simmilar. I'm heavily suprized at how much respect people seem to show here, I thought you'd be harassed to the breaking point, like I (and so many others) have been. The last thing that kept me playing wasn't even the game, but a UNNOFICAL ROLEPLAYING SERVER (UFA/ United Factions Assembly) until that thing collapsed due to the same issues as Tradelands. Much love and respect to you for this. it's not hard, especially in the toxic and (at some points) threatening communities as this. PS. I know you're done, but there may be some thing(s) you would be interested to hear and another POV to this story and shed some light on how *we all* have been abused. I think that we need to put public pressure and make them change. I'm no Angel, but how they treated me and my own friends especially is fucked-up, and I think my story and those of others deserve some light too. EDIT: I still remember a quote Joe told me before I got banned ,,You are not welcome in this community,, THAT, fucked me up, especially because I suffered Middle-School harassment and suffered from depression and loneliness. That, hurt, even if it's online. The fact he felt no remorse, especially because I got banned for hurting his ego for a split second (after ignoring my reports of harassment) made me realize how broken TL truly is. Also, i still remember when I got banned in TLO. Joe forced ED and every other faction to Shadowban me and block me in DMs. To me, that shows me he knows he is in the wrong. Luckly, nobody did it as we were friends, though they did have to ban me. I was also ghosted almost everywhere, like you were, being forced to find out the truth from my friends.

It's sad to see you go dude. I really enjoyed your videos for as long as you've made them. As for the mods, I believe that nahr didn't participate in the community as much as he should have. Nahr made the occasional comment in #common and made generic announcements in #announcements. Sure it's possible that he talked a lot with the navy and pirate highcom (I doubt it), but talking to the leaders and ignoring the actual people is not a good thing. For the main dev and owner of this game to barely interact, is why tradelands declined so much. He gradually lost touch over time with the "real community" as I don't think that navy highcom for most of the part really represent the the general consensus of what people really want. I'll give you an example: On reddit, there are only about 100-150 mods who moderate every subreddit. And when the owner of a new and popular subreddit can't moderate properly anymore, they give mod powers to those few power mods. Long story short, the actual owner loses control and those power mods take over. I feel that this is what has happened in tradelands.

I stopped playing months ago when I stepped down as Chancellor, and I’m late to this video on top of that but even then I never would’ve thought that someone who I viewed as so liked and close to the community and moderation would be treated so poorly. My views on Nahr, Joe and Epicmon have also been seriously upended but not by a lot, since I think every Mid and high rank in NBN got a taste of who they truely were as people. I really did have a lot of fun playing with this community, the most fun I’ve ever had in my life on top of unlimited free time during quarantine bolstering that. But so much was ruined by the un-professionalism and lack of effort, communication and just listening to the community. Everything could’ve been so much better and we all could have left the game with such good memories, but that’s not the case. It was wonderful knowing you as a content creator and even as a Person Joshua, I wish you the best of luck.

@@buynlargesuperdump2435 Mostly asses. What usually happened was that joe would pretend to be friendly with us in events and High-ranks chat by messing around with us and joking. And then the moment something like Role-play intervention or a stupid change to the Faction happened that nobody asked for Nahr, Epicmon and Joe would enter Officers and go apeshit, and it usually ended in someone getting banned. I can name some off the top of my head, Oviosco, January 7th, Purshovian Intervention, and what really destroyed the faction and made most people eventually quit was the war in June of 2021, where I happened to get banned for leaking some of what the mods said in Officers to a Friend of mine (Nagasaki).

Nahr has been strong-armed by Joe and Epicmon in to making a lot of bad decisions, The cancellation of TLW and the lack of updates and proper moderation are all things that nahr has been either strong-armed into doing or not doing. Also, Joe has the code to Tradelands, and is responsible for all the backend code, something hes threatened to leave with if he ever lost his powers. So your theory sir is not very far off.

I recommend trying out world of warships. You can still do a lot of the stuff you did in Tradelands but it’s ww2 era ships. Tho learning will take time but it’s not bad!
