Ash is so sharp that there was an airplane incident where the plane went through a volcanic cloud of ash and it got sand blasted. The windows of the cockpit were frosted. The engines were pitted. There was NO paint on that airplane in al the areas where it faced the airflow. They managed to land that airplane by the skin of their teeth, literally a thin strip of glass where the ash hadn't frosted the glass. It just went through a cloud, at speed. So by all accounts, not a long exposure. But it was enough.

So I watched Tango’s vod that this is from a bit ago first, and the popping sounds very specific. When I have my earbuds in and turn up the volume a bit louder, I can hear a similar sound on Scar’s end but here it’s more muted and in the background. It’s like when you hear someone air conditioner like a fan noise, but this is more of a popping noise than a fan noise.

Intro geology aka rocks for jocks was absolutely a thing in my college too. It was popular among people who just needed the science credit because it had a pretty low barrier for entry, but it wasn’t any easy class. Easier than some maybe, but not easy. It was very popular among jocks and academics alike though because the geology faculty were excellent so it was one of the student body’s favorite class overall.

Immediately disregarding Cleo's wishes and going off to distract everyone. Where I live, the rocks for jocks thing (I still love that Tango brought that up) is because students have to take courses outside of their program. So the Kinesiology kids (and art kids) need to take a general science course or two, while STEM kids need to take English and learn how to write.

Lol as a PNW native, the horrifying deaths Cleo was listing off are comically unlikely (yet technically possible) Scar's right about the coyotes, they're only really a threat to small pets, and bears and mountain lions pretty much only live in more foresty areas The volcanos are monitored and are largely dormant, and earthquakes are usually so small I don't even notice them Tbh it's fun to feel like I'm braving a scary place tho (and I love that Cleo has clearly done her research)

Not that you'd need it as you've got your robust community of tech savvy hermits, but I'd happily make a parts list for a new PC for ya. I do this all the time for friends, family and myself. Personally I'd go AMD with highest core clock with 8+ cores within budget. Minecraft still doesn't really utilize more cores, and any video editing/streaming is more GPU intensive. NVME is awesome for drives if you haven't already updated to one of those for storage, and I'd do no less than 32 gb of RAM for your needs.

Building a pc can be a very personal thing. Intel would probably give you the best minecraft performance, but amd would probably be better at vid editing. Honestly, the difference will be relatively negligible. Monitors are key for creators. I highly recommend on board storage (m2). I always went nvidia for vid cards because of EVGA. They don't make vid cards anymore tho. So glhf figuring out what's the go to now. I'm sure someone will comment on my non choice. PC builders can be very opionated. Myself included. Never skimp on the PSU! It's the one thing that provides power to everything. If it goes it can take everything with it.

I watch all long videos, the thing is, i might not watch it linearly. Like vods from the hermits, i might start today, but i'll finish in a week or so. 24:28 while i agree on Tungo's line that the internet is overly-ragey, the stories about Intel and other issues in today's computing world don't come from the general public. At least outside people commenting on their plights. These are discussions that were stared by reviewers with trust and in some cases class action lawsuits. If a person's to get a new computer, they need to take a new notebook, pen, and start writing down the options and weight the consequences. TLDR: there's more than just "a grain of truth" to these stories.

So scar talking about having issues with his autonomic nervous system, not sure what it is but what i can assume with 1st year med course is that probably his autonomic nervous system does not regulate blood flow and may be in a constant parasympathetic feedback (rest and digest) mode resulting in the body not getting the chemicals to push it to being sympathetic, (fight or flight) resulting in a failure for organs to change state for increased physical activity. Though do take with a grain of salt, that is my limited knowledge over the subject.
