Halo CE always had the most unique multiplayer maps and architecture. I love how Bungie put so much effort into making each game unique from its counterpart.

I'll never get Rat Race's purpose as an actual place in Halo, why there's this series of underground circular paths that leads nowhere. And that's what makes the music so interesting. Its eerie and foreboding while also having a tinge of electronic reassurance.

It was probably a Forerunner testing ground, or it was used to help hold something off.

I remember one of the old bungie interviews saying the mapper guy built rat race to learn how the tools of their mapping program worked. And he did it in like a single day.

@@notagent4 I found out about that in the year since. Its just a test map that worked out well for Halo 1. And we attach all this lore to it 😅

@@SergioMach7 lol nice. Yeah its fun trying to place all the maps in a location. I did that with halo 4 maps. They're suprisingly interesting, if you take a second to look around.
