Lads a suggestion for the majors. Love the handicaps as it keeps it competitive, but rather than starting with the handicaps applied, you could apply the handicap on a per hole basis. So rather than Bubbie (for example) starting on ten under, he would get an extra shot on the ten hardest holes. So then when they play those holes, if there is a par 4 for Luke, it would be par 5 for Bubbie. It might just give a truer sense of how people are playing throughout the round, and rather than everyone else catching up to those under par, it might make the leaderboard more dynamic. Just a thought, great video as always

@@daltonnorthcott243With all due respect, I don't think that's correct or fair. Best of my knowledge this is the first video he's ever tapped out on (have not watched since very beginning so can't say for sure). There has been plenty of other content where it's obvious he's not playing well, and more than likely was suffering from some discomfort or pain. But, he stuck it out. Having to walk carrying your bag, when you have such back issues, across what looks like level ground on video but it's obviously extremely uneven with all the humps and bumps a links course contains, then trying to hit golf shots off of said uneven ground... Steve may very well have been in the same boat, except he had Kendrick to carry the bag. It also looked like Steve had downshifted and wasn't swinging so violently, hence he had plenty of good shots, particularly early. Matt, my wife and I are pulling for you!
@daltonnorthcott243 Жыл бұрын
@BrianH020 he's 24 years old and clearly doesn't miss the gym for workouts haha like I said, he will be in the remainder of the content in UK I'm sure, with a totally different upbeat mindset. If that's the case, you'll know this wasn't back related.
@BrianH020 Жыл бұрын
@@daltonnorthcott243 There are plenty of things that can be done at the gym that won't impact your back if you have some kind of issues. With each passing day my knees are bothering me more and more, and hence I don't do any exercises like squats, lunges or anything that taxes my knees. He may very well be at St Andrews when that video posts, and I would be very surprised if he doesn't have a caddy that day. That would take a large load off not having to carry around his bag, even a lightweight carry bag has some weight with a full set of clubs, balls, etc. Obviously you have your opinion, that's mine. I'm not going to hate on him when I can't relate to what he may possibly be going through. Instead, I'm going to look on the bright side because that's a better mindset...

I'm halfway through. Here are my takeaways: 1. The CEO is the perfect caddie for Steve. I haven't rooted so hard for someone since Tiger in the '08 US Open. 2. Bubbie will be the first person to win a professional golf event by positive thinking alone. 3. It's super satisfying watching great players like Luke get giddy over the chance to play courses like this. He deserves it.

British golfers will sometimes say of American's, that "they just don't know what rough is". This video tells the story, courses like this don't always want a driver off the tee, but we're golfers, optimists, and it's hard not to take the bate. Great content as always, plus Peter Finch, awesome stuff!

Bubbie messed up his score on 3 different occasions. If you lose your ball, you re-tee or drop and play it as if you hit your provisional there. He did this twice and then on hole 11, he hit two OB, and dropped and played 5 instead of 6.
@Chris54321 Жыл бұрын

Good content and video. I felt bad for Matt for carrying his clubs with a bad back, and having to withdraw, while Garrett used the caddy to carry his bag and Kendrick carried for Steve. I know Steve also has some back issues, but Garrett could have left the caddy carry Matt's bag to help him out. I think also that GG can afford a caddy for Matt when they have to walk the course.
