Walkers was founded in 1948 in Leicester, England, by Henry Walker. In 1989, Walkers was acquired by Lay's owner, Frito-Lay, a division of PepsiCo. The Walkers factory in Leicester produces over 11 million bags of crisps per day, using about 800 tons of potatoes. Walkers is the original and lays then changed it .

There's a politician here in Quebec that everyone had a field day mocking because she got all in a tizzy when she went to an Italian restaurant and saw the word pasta on the menu. She said they weren't allowed to use English words in the French section of the menu, because she thought the word pasta was English. 🤣😂🤣 The newspapers had fun with that one
@Anluain
@Anluain 2 жыл бұрын
First attested in English in 1874, the word "pasta" comes from Italian "pasta" and in turn from the Latin "pasta" lol. She's a special sort of person.

I've commented something similar to this on a More before but I think it bears repeating, as a former captioner the captions on this video are very inaccurate and inaccessible for the deaf population. They are missing many captioning best practices, including speaker tags and differentiation between speakers, there are many cases of misspelling or misinterpreting obvious words (for example, Poutine was misinterpreted by the captioner as protein every time it was said), and the crosstalk sections are captioned very poorly making them almost impossible to follow for a deaf or HOH listener. These same issues aren't present during GMM, but I just thought it was important that you guys be made aware because I know Mythical cares about accessibility and would want this feedback.

You could do something like this just in the US. Like how on the east coast there's Edy's ice cream but it's called Dreyer's on the west coast.

When they keep saying Link in French, they remind me of the aliens on Sesame Street. The ones that repeat 'yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep'... Over and Over. All that was missing was the 'uh- huh, uh- huh, uh- huh'...part.

7:30 Quebec is so serious with making sure everything is French that they do not have English on their signs (even tho Canadians NEED to have French) and for example if u get sentenced to court u are not legally obligated to have a translator given to u so basically u will have to sit there listening to everything in French.
