No, the entire movie is brother isn't real and his father is stressed trying to take care of him with him mental issue. So the mother says she'll take him for some time because she wants to see him anyway. So when he kills the mother by pushing her, he immediately goes back into his delusion and imagines both his mom and brother are alive. Even though she literally JUST died 3 minutes ago behind him. He's imagining they never died.
