Goodnite, Sweetheart, Goodnite--The "Original" Spaniels LIVE 1983

Here's another very early, revival performance by a classic group. The Spaniels were formed in Gary, Indiana in the early 50s. In 1954, this song, their third on the Vee Jay label, hit #5 on the national R&B charts, but also #24 on the national pop charts! These original “second” group of original Spaniels were: James "Pookie" Hudson, Gerald Gregory, Donald Porter, Carl Rainge, and James Cochran. They are all here except James who suffered an unfortunate injury the week before this awesome Burlington County show. Even with 4, they sound great!

Pookie Hudson is the lead singer and writer of this song. Gerald Gregory is the base. Those two are the originals
