And as you fill your ditches, lay a run of Caution tape to make your lines. Alway a pain to hit one in the future by accident cause you did not remember where the lines were run. And good to know you are close to the line when digging in the dark of night with an emergency. Take care!

for me I was wondering if they pressure tested the lines and they can use/get a tracer and connect to the ground wire to find/see the wire and water lines as they are in the trench, you sure can see lots of newbie work there and could of used some person to have walked them through all this before hand to get/learn how to do it much easier than they did it, you have to learn either way, heck YT has lots of video's on how to do most of this easier, they sure earned their pay that day or days, just me thinking out loud, til the next one, Later

I was in kindergarten when my parents bought 15 acres in Wisconsin. Bought a house trailer and my dad built our house mostly himself. I remember all the trenches and huge piles of dirt everywhere. I wouldn’t trade those memories for anything. Your kids will always remember this experience!

I've been going back through your old videos and couldn't help, but laugh a little that this was today's video because my husband is an industrial electrician here in the northeast and when he got home said "I've been in a friggin trench all day, blah, my jacket and everything is absolutely caked with mud, it was a miserable" and it's been raining with slush and snow today. Good work dealing with that kind of mess, it's not easy.

I don't see how people could give these kind of videos a thumbs down, Is it because they can't get their own land to build a home? I just don't know but what what I can tell you I like them, it keeps me at the edge to see what happens next, and what give it more pleasure to watch it is to see how a family could make fun while doing project of their own. Thumbs Up. I'm looking for more.

Great teamwork! I noticed that you mentioned a pump house. Geothermal pipelines inside of a greenhouse, with an attached shed could keep your pump warm during the cold months. I've seen videos where they only used a fan inside the structure. A few solar panels, ups, and some lithium ion battery banks in the shed part could make a lot of difference throughout the winter. Thermal inside the greenhouse can be an average of 50 degrees or warmer. Vents are required to regulate temperature. In addition, fish, and vegetation are a great combination inside of a greenhouse. Blessings.

I must say, you are the first person I have seen putting pipe down that is coiled and not get it entangled. Well done. You both must be very tired, but very happy to have that job done and completed. Though before covering up, did you test the water, to see no leaks? sure would have to dig all that earth up again. I loved the way the children were running through the coiled pipe, how nice to see children playing like that so naturally, no computers or I pads. Have a great day.

We moved into our country home in 1997. Our next door neighbor owned and excavating and trucking company before retiring. We had a very low area of out property next to his house which caused a lot of water in his basement. He hauled about 40 yards of fill plus some topsoil into the area, all I had to do was finish grade it and seed it. We each have 15 acre plots so the dirt was free and he had the equipment to move it. I finished it with my John Deer garden tractor. Your neighbor's work reminded me of our adventure many years ago. Have you considered a wood fired boiler? You could use it to heat your house and your barn. As you were laying all of that piping, I was curious what you were planning to do for heat. God bless you guys, I love watching your adventure. You make me wish I'd had a little more courage 40 years ago (I'll be 69 in 4 weeks).

Congrats I too am fully off grid 20 miles up in the Washington state mountains it’s the best I only need town about every 5 to 6 months just a suggestion I had a Underground 1000 gal propane tank and a automatic generator that’s linked. Lasts about 3 years full 800gal max. I Also had a 2000gal Gas tank put underground. This is why town is a option 🥳 and you can buy when cheaper prices are available from the volumes. Hopefully this bit helps BE BLESSED

Congrats on getting out of the "rain forest". We retired three years ago from the Willamette valley and moved to northern Wisconsin. We got the same comments about cold and snow. I would rather bundle up and be dry than wet and cold. Plus Oregon is getting too expensive and crowded. We now have 5 acres in the woods, great neighbors (everyone here is super nice), affordable and low population, abundant wildlife in our front yard. Jeremy, glad to see you not being so fidgety, your new life fits you. Aloha from the Northwoods.

Wow! Tough and tiring work!. It was so exhausting just watching you guys yesterday, I had to get some rest, and finish watching the video today. Congratulations on the teamwork and pressing through, and being able to smile about it when that phase was done! A tip (if these suit your situation): keep a written/diagramed copy of where the lines are located. Also, mark on the ground from point to point where all your lines run (including corners) . This might be where you put potted plants. Or sink a piece of rebar (sticking up from the ground - cover top with a tennis ball for safety, or make them hanging potted plant stands) in the ground from point to point, this way you can always find the lines in the event you ever need to know exactly where they are. I pray you never wish you had installed shut-off valves in those lines. (Speaking from experience here, even with deeply buried lines). Yay! One more thing to check off the list! Thank you for including all of us in this adventure.
