Just joined your channel. Live in Moore,ID bought 15 acres in MacKay,ID trying to get my land ready to do some improvements on, but so hard to get anybody out there to get some rated on it. Want my well, roads, and septic put in, the only thing done so far is about 4 acres got the sage brush mowed. So want to get stuff done there. Want to get moved on the property by next year.

As someone who has anaphalaxis reaction to stings, I looked at these comments to make sure someone made the epi pen comment. My second ever bee sting (on my upper arm) gave me almost the exact same reaction as Jeremy. Next sting sent me to the hospital, so my doctor has me carry an epipen. I'm lucky and live within ten minutes of a hospital too.

Just last week I too got stung. My hands, fore arms, face, tongue and throat swelled in in minutes. 2 paramedics, 4 fire fighters, a host of medical folk in the ER and 6 hours later I was alright. I now have 2 Epipens - you should too.

Yes epipen keep one or four on hand, I keep bees and have noticed that as I’m older it has a dramatic effect on me, my wife is allergic so we keep some on hand. Got hit a couple times I did the epipen and it really helped. You crazy kids behave with the no kid zone now available to you. 😎

My husband-also names Jeremy- got stung by a wasp on the morning we left for our Babymoon 8 years ago. His hand got swollen like that too! I drove the whole 8 hour trip while he was high on Benadryl with his hand in front of the air vent. No fun! Hopefully your hand is better now! But yay for more room! How exciting for y’all!!

Hi Family. I've followed along now for several months and just wanted to take a second commend you on the move, build and transition to country living in general. We did the same thing when our sons were around 8 & 10 and looking back on it all these years later, it was the best/ greatest decision we could've made for our family. Today, I am the proud mother of two well adjusted, intelligent, confident, wonderful young men who took what they learned over the years here and applied it to their own lives and families. You might want to purchase an epi pen to have on hand in case your allergic reaction to stings gets more severe. If you had that much swelling in your hand and arm, what if you had gotten stung on your neck?

You need to have benadryl tabs and children's liquid close by. A 1/2 tsp after a wasp or bee sting could easily prevent swelling or any adverse reactions. Better safe than sorry.

I brought contractor packs of outlets and light switches of 10 each in a box for like $5. When i had my storage building converted into a tiny house (learning center/library) , mom's and my house. I also brought boxes of foam inserts for the outlets and switches . They block any air coming thru the open spaces around them.

When my dad remodeled my bedroom took him 3 months and I was living in the middle of the living room not fun. Something you may want to think about adding the over the door shoe organizers to the bedroom and especially bathroom doors. I use one for small things not shoes. Works great and you could share the one in the bathroom one row per person. Some places we stay at has very little storage and it helps.

For your wasps, makes a couple cups of blue Dawn detergent with about a gallon of water, it works as good and as any wasp spray. Fill the tub with it and put a board on top of that tub, on the bottom of that board just above the water screw on a piece of chicken, just a leftover bone from dinner is fine. Wasps love meat and they will fly and try to get under there on the meat and a lot of them will fall off into the water and you can literally catch hundreds of them that way. We have tons of them here, we just keep spray bottles out on the porch and just spray them as they come in whenever we find a nest. Does pump up pressure garden sprayers work great as well, that’s what I used to take out big nests

For all that swelling Benadryl cream, Benadryl tablets but they can make you drowsy so stomach acid inhibitors (ranitidine) can also work on the histamine response so can take that while needing to use power tools and drive during the day. And tea tree oil spray or Skin so soft are good repellants. Good luck out there!

They have Benadryl "Non-Drowsy" you can also buy. Not as strong as the regular but, it works for something like this.

New bedroom looks great. Now to that swollen hand... you might want to consider getting an Epi Pen. If you get stung around the head a swelling like that can be life threatening. You don’t have to get the Epipen though. You can get syringes and the chemical separate making it a lot more affordable. You are far from the hospital. This can be important Stay safe.

I agree with everyone advising an epipen - just imagine if you'd been stung on your neck, you'd be struggling to breathe from the swelling. That aside, I'm so happy for you getting to move into your bedroom. This is going to make winter, and the next stage of your project so much more manageable.

I empathize! I tried living with my kids in our RV over a summer. We lasted three months. It was excellent for a month. After that, it spiralled. I don't think I slept in it once after we got our home and before we sold the RV! I thought I would love the gypsy lifestyle. Turns out I love my king sized mattress, my room, and my kitchen way too much. Oh so many lessons...

As a beekeeper I will say most will tell you to take Benedry; but that just makes you sleepy... so what makes multiple stings tolerable and helps with all the swelling, Vitamin "C" eaten just after the sting

I know it's probably been several days by now but if you're still having problems with that bee sting dip a piece of bread in some milk and put it over the place where you got stung. Leave it there for at least 20-30 minutes. It will draw out the poison. I have used that old time remedy for wasp stings and even spider bites. The thing is you have to leave in on long enough to let it draw the poison out. Good luck. Hope you're feeling better & don't even need this but in case you do..... take care.

New baby in nine months?. Lol. Glad to see you can relax in your own room. When I was redoing my house. I was living in it. I've done 3 bedrooms, living room, and dining room. Still have to do my bathroom and kitchen yet. My house was built in 1958, red brick. They never put stud walls in outside of house. Just white foam( r 3 )insulation, and drywall with plaster on top. Rafters sat on brick. Now I have better r value insulation and stud walls too.
