Hermitcraft season 7 episode 35, we are back on Hermitcraft 7 to fight back against the mycelium resistance with the HEP. Tango and I go on a daring heist to get the diamond thrown back. Now that the diamonds are back we rebuild the diamond throne. Also, we going on a fake treasure hunt from Grian's mystery box at the barge. Finally, we start the mycelium buyback to remove it from the shopping district. Hope you like this crazy episode of Hermitcraft!

Problems with the Mycelium buyback: 1) The Cobra Effect, as it happened in India. By attempting to buy something out of existence you are incentivising everyone farming it. There will be more mycelium farms than gold farms, if you know what I mean. People will be handing you their farmed mycelium as it is just easier to do than replace shopping district mycelium with grass. Once you are out of diamonds, or just stop buying it, everyone would have an excess of mycelium in their possession - then incentivising them to join the resistance. 2) I saw this suggestion in the comments: tell the hermits to rename their mycelium with the location it was mined, to prevent farming. However, this is even worse as it will incentivise placing their farmed mycelium in the shopping district, making many neutral hermits become unofficial Mycelium Resistance members - and obviously you don't want that. Not only that, but this would mean that once you stop the buyback or run out of money from all the farming, there will be multiple other patches of mycelium in the shopping district that was there ready to be sold to you - and I'm pretty sure that once you stop buying it, you won't be able to encourage the hermits to dig it back up. 3) Grian sells mycelium for 4 diamonds for two stacks at his barge - and you buy it for 5. Essentially you are just giving Grian money by encouraging hermits to buy from him. Not that that's too bad though as Grian isn't part of the resistance, but it does mean less mycelium coming from the shopping district landscape, and losing diamonds. 4) As is obvious, the Mycelium HQ (wherever that is) is filled with mycelium farms - the resistance has to get it somehow. You are encouraging the RESISTANCE TO FARM AN EXCESS OF MYCELIUM so that they can sell that to fund their scheming. You are literally funding the resistance. Not only that, but once you stop, they will then have an excess of pre-farmed mycelium in their hands - ready to place it and spread it through the shopping district! I know this message is long, but it's true and demonstrates the problems with the Mycelium buyback. If anyone has any other reasons, please reply to this comment and I'll add it with your name. Scar, take note and CANCEL IT BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

These may not be those 12 bamboo, but they are 12 bamboo obtained directly from Grian (as he gathered Scar's belongings after Scar crashed at Grian's mansion). Grian then told Scar in chat shortly after that he could buy anything with 12 bamboo. I wouldn't suggest using the 12 bamboo at anyone else's shop, but Grian's barge is fair game imo. Especially after that troll of a barge box that should have been payment for 196 shulker boxes.

I have an official degree in minecraft geology, and my studies show that mycelium came first. Carbon dating on some of the oldest mushroom islands show that the oldest rocks have traces of mycelium instead of grass. In the 1.2.4 era, Mushroom islands first started appearing in the world. When this happened, Mycelium was the naturally found block on the islands. Also, scene as Mycelium is a fungal growth, the mushroom islands and the dark oak forests are the places where they could have evolved. Since there are no traces of Mycelium in the dark oak forest, the only other place could have been was the mushroom islands.

MR Karak-Tea I think you mean the Mycelium attacked. The grass is the natural environment of the island, but the Corruption spread across the land and ravaged the greenery and wildlife there. The mycelium resistance is just there to create chaos in the shopping district by pushing back on the eradication of the Mycelium. They want to take the beauty that scar created and burn it down to the ground. Grian is a true master of chaos and war. (DISCLAIMER: This is not a serious comment, I'm just saying it for the plot. I do not hate any of the hermits, I like to watch all of their videos.)
