Hermitcraft 9 Episode 13: TERRIFYING The Hermits!!

Hermitcraft season 9 episode 13! We start out big with our Minecraft let's play ep 13 on the Hermitcraft 9 server with a massive starter treehouse base. The design of the survival base will be elven-themed. Once we complete the treehouse, I'll build my dream Minecraft build.
Today's episode starts out finishing the Redstone shop in the new Hermitcraft shopping district and making an awesome interior design. After the shop is done it's time to cause some chaos on Hermitcraft. We make custom Crepper hats out of carved pumpkins and terrify the hermits with them. We eventually team with Grian and scare Bdubs and Cleo. I hope you enjoy and in the next episode, I start my Hermitcraft mega base!

Idea for store diamond counting: Have a book that hermits write in The book says: How many diamonds did you spend? Grian- Doc- Bdubs- (Write the rest of the hermits names) And an example of how it will look when they write in it: Grian- 15 Doc- 42 + 12 + 50 Bdubs- So they just wrote the number they spent that day, next to their name and when they spend more, they use a plus symbol and the new amount. I think it’s the most space efficient. And will hopefully show off information better than other options. ^_^

Idea for tracking sales: - Rather than have the chests be full of items, have the slots be hoppers where the hermits put their payments. - There would be a redstone dispenser setup to give them the items they purchased along with a number of renamed paper vouchers. The names would be something like "# diamonds" to say how much each of those individual purchases were worth. - Now have a collection box for each hermit who wants to compete (so set up an area where they can claim and name a chest), they put the vouchers into their chest, and you now have an easy tally of all the diamonds they've spent. At least assuming they're willing to take the extra step of returning the vouchers.

Oh. as for a name, if you're ok with a bit of innuendo you could parody "Microsoft Windows" with "Big Hard ____" and use any of your favorites to fill in the blanks. "Shutters" is my favorite and it would also work as a stand alone name. "Doors" is only 1 syllable, so doesn't sound as nice as a parody of Windows. "Cabinets" or "Tables" would also work.

You could make a deal with Mumbo for personalized services. Hermits come to you with their wishes, like a big door or an advanced farm - for a price, of course. You then contact Mumbo and he goes of to build the thing, and you both get a part of the money.

I'm here because my friend loves watching the Hermits, and recently Iskall has played Vault Hunters with Hat Films (of the Yogscast collective), and during the episode (Ep 25), they cracked a joke about swearing and why you never see more crossovers between the two groups for that very reason, and my friend linked me here to show me that Zombie swear. This was funny. That was some good shenanigans. A good time, one might say.

Maybe you could implement a system where Hermits name their diamonds with their name. That way, everyone could see who is buying from their shops so they could know their target customers.

if there is one thing I have learned from hermitcraft, its that they will never be able to consistently use a new way of shopping, implement that system and i reckon about 10% of shopping trips will someone actually name their diamonds, if its a sign telling them to do it, then even less

It would be quite expensive on the levels and inconvenient if the hermits have to go to the end to get levels to name their diamonds with every purchase

@@sketion5188 you don’t have to disenchant, because you can combine any diamonds (named or not) when crafting into blocks and then craft that back into regular diamonds again!

I'm probably very late to make a suggestion, but with the redstone shop and figuring out who's bought what there can be a chest or two at the front of the shop with the names of all the hermits and all they have to do when buying it put a piece of paper with their name on it in the chest with their payment right beside it like for example if Doc's buying a couple stacks of redstone, the redstone chest will have a piece of paper with Doc's name on it and that amount of diamonds he paid next to it. It's definitely a system that will require some communication beforehand tho to avoid confusion, but it might work out alright!
