I've had a pcx for 8 plus years... I recognised the seat problem straight away. Took to a shop and trimmed the foam hump and filled it to smooth it out, 300 baht....no need to sell.
@goodvibespattayaАй бұрын
Hi mate, yeah I went to a trimmer and was going to do just that and then a mate offered me his XMax for a crazy price and I was starting to do longer trips out of Pattaya including the trip to Samui so I decided to sell the PCX for those reasons, other than that the bike was great around Pattaya. Hope all is well with you and the family 😊

It amazes me when people say that the Honda Click is too small. In the past I have read comments that there is not enough room to put your feet. You are saying that it's too small for you and your lady to ride together. What???? I don't know how tall you are or how much you weigh, or how big the other persons feet were, but I am on the large side (6'3" tall, Size 14 US / 48 EU shoe size, and I weigh 130kg) and I have absolutely no difficulties at all, either alone or with a passenger. Also, no comfort problems on long rides to Koh Chang and back on my own. I have been riding My Honda Click 150 for 5 years with no problems whatsoever.

Good video, for big fellas....555 I am more Thai sized and have the Aerox (non ABS), awesome machine and still coping with daily abuse. I also have a Wave 125i, and that I have to say, is the most practical scooter for just about everything except long journeys. It's semi auto so it has engine braking, can carry tons of shopping, slim line to squeeze into those tight scooter parking spots, easy to fix, cheap to run, cheap to buy. Fon loves it and she rides like a demon.... I also have 2x CT125 for fun and my big bikes. As I said, I am not a big fella, so squeezing my knees in is something I don't have to consider when buying. Good video and subbed. Take care mate

Years ago I read that in Thailand a motorcycle driver's licence is not mandatory for bikes with engine size below 135. Unsure whether that still applies, but it may explain to some extent the higher volume of sales for the Honda Wave.

I have a ADV 160 I’m 5’11” and 220 lbs and me and my Thai girlfriend are quite comfortable on it but she’s quite small only 5’2” and a 100 lbs. The taller and wider handle bars along with the taller seat height made a huge difference over the PCX 160 which I didn’t find comfortable riding solo. My biggest advice I can give to anyone looking at buying a new motorbike in Thailand is before you buy go to your local rental shop and rent the bike your interested in for a week or two better yet find a rental shop that has 2 or 3 models your interested in buying and just keep swapping every week. The best thing I can tell you about the ADV 160 is the brakes it has the best brakes in the 160 class and it’s not even close compared with the other 150-160 class bikes even has better brakes then the PCX 160. Cheers 🍻

Hi Jason and Su! Great video mate. I started with a Honda QA 50cc, then a Honda CT 70. Great memories of riding through our town forest as a kid. Next was a Vespa scooter that was much faster than the CT 70 😅 finally bought a leftover crate 1982 Honda CB900 Super Sport and loved that rocket. Final upgrade was to a full dressed Harley Davidson in 1987. I didn’t stop riding until 2017 when my spinal problems left me with unreliable legs. Sadly it was too dangerous to ride and worry about laying it down if my legs gave out. I miss riding so much. I love the car and bike videos. I know they do have trikes in Thailand but there are many hoops to jump through in order to get it registered for the roads. I think using Grab will probably be my best option. So many good laughs during the video. Hope you are well mate, my best to Su and a pat to the monstah!
@goodvibespattayaАй бұрын
Hi mate, thank you for sharing your story about bikes and sad to hear that your spinal problems have slowed you down but at least you can say you owned a Harley for a long time 😬 Yep Grab or Bolt is a great way to get around and almost like having your own driver for not much money. Thanks again mate and take care 👍

I think if you check you'll find all those clutchless manual bikes like the Wave are all down strokes to change gear up and up strokes to change down gear..... Very awkward to start with, if you're used to normal bikes... you have to move your foot to the back bit of the pedal to change down.... can't use your toe like normal.

I love my Honda PCX 160, amazing bike for me. I prefer that lower windshield. Just one question, since you said you can`t fit on that seat, but you can on a Honda ADV 160. How so? For me those two seats, sizes and bikes, look pretty much the same. So is the distance to the front wheel and stearing. As far as I can see they are built the same (also pretty much like the Yamaha NMax). I may be wrong, so that`s why I ask. Thank you for taking us on this tour 😊😊
@goodvibespattayaАй бұрын
Hi Sarlina, that’s great and I sold the PCX because a friend offered me his XMAX and it was to good to refuse plus I was about to start doing longer rides including the journey to Samui via ferry from Sattahip and then the return to Surat Thani and the massive ride back. It was the Click 160 that I had trouble with having Su and Lilly on the back, my knees were touching the front panel under the steering, I never had anyone on the back of the PCX when I owned it back in 2022 when I first moved here 😬 Thank you so much for your support and always taking the time to comment, I hope all is going well in China 😬
@sarlina1Ай бұрын
@@goodvibespattaya Thanks for answering 😊 I might have said "fit" into the seat, but your word might have been "uncomfortable", because of the shape of the seat. I get that with longer travels of course. I just didn't understand the difference between the PCX and the ADV, the seats look and feel the same to me. But I'm of course a little shorter than your highness 😊 Thanks, it's looking good on all accounts for me now. No relapse on the c, and the pool villa project is going great. Slow, but great. I have a friend who is about the same size. Had issues with his knees on a forza 350. Might have slightly more room on the Adv 350 but you can check out the GPX product as it was surprisingly roomy for him and it was only a 155cc called the drone. There is a new 270 cc bike from them now, for around 100,000 baht worth a look.

Like the other comment, the ADV350 but an option would be a Yamaha TMax560 but they are expensive, from 539,000 baht

wave,scoopy,pcx all have too small body, if big western men want drive, too small sitting and drive. handlebar crashed to knee and need sitting backseat. not comfortable drive. need biggest frame/body at bike. honda rebell 300 or 500cc have perfect Thailand road and city drive. not too small.

How long have you been coming to Thailand? You even have "Pattaya" in the name of your channel. In all of this time, you haven't learned how to pronounce it properly? It's not difficult for Westerners from English speaking countries to say.
