I absolutely loved this stream, Scar took to this game extremely well, and Gem has been an excellent teacher. I really hope this becomes a thing, I love watching gem and Scar farm together Also, I hope Gem does installs whatever mod she was referring to to pause the game in multiplayer, stardew is meant to be taken at your own pace imo

I head-cannoned them as cousins for some reason, but siblings makes more sense. Also, Gem also used to work at joja, she hated every minute of it and always wanted a way out, while Scar was loving it until his injury, he was one of those people that wake up happy on mondays and gets really into work-place productivity tournaments between the different departments and hypes up his crew even though the prizes are garbage and it's all just a ruse by your corporate overlords to trick you into putting more effort into your work without putting more effort into you. Basically he was like Spangbob if the crasty crab was a corporation

Advice for scar not spoilers! If you need help with fishing buy the training rod at Willy’s will make learning a lot quicker. You can if both players are paused then the time is paused so if gem pauses whenever your in a cutscene then it will pause. also the currency is called gollars 💵

funny that at min 49 Scar asks if there is a bigfoot because that is one of the smallest chance easter eggs and one of the less known content of this game lol, there is actually a bigfoot that can appear in the out of bounds section of the bus or the top of the farm towards the mountains with minimal chances and certain triggers, if you are curious BlaDe made a video on it

Some tips about the mechanic: You can place/interact with things in a 3x3 square around your character and it will be where your cursor is pointing. You keep watering behind your character because you weren't moving the cursor. In addition to the fishing rod, the sword would also be a scar-safe tool to hold. You can clear fiber with it but it won't destroy crops or furniture.

You can usually get the people to say more to you by clicking on them again (right click) because usually they just say something like "oh hi!" first then stop talking but you can click them again and they might say something more interesting! 2.While fishing if you hear the little "bloopoop!" and see the yellow exclamation mark pop up, it means you have a catch. Click immideatly!!! you missed out on a lot of chances (i havent finished the stream yet so you mightve figured those out but ill edit the comment if so)

Unless you are actively using your cursor to choose the tile that you want to interact with, I highly recommend moving it off to the side of the screen. It will mess up your tool direction in the middle since your character will use the tool towards the cursor if it is too close, even if you are facing the other way.

I don't think the streamers read VOD comments, but I think as of last time I played multiplayer, if all players are in menu or cutscenes, the clock does pause during that overlap. I haven't played multiplayer in a while, but I do think that that was a vanilla feature pre-last-update. If the time flashes in the corner, it's paused. (If any more recent players can confirm or deny, it'd be much appreciated.)

Scar, if you were fishing for salmon in a river, there's a reason you couldn't catch them. Salmon don't eat once they enter the river! They just swim upstream and lay their eggs and die. They're not very good to eat at that stage either. Humans don't bother with them then. Bears catch them, but NOT with a lure. :)

The log lean-to does make the host farmer's home look bigger, but they're actually around the same size if you overlay them ignoring the firewood storage. It _is_ literally just an awning though. 😅 The cabins tend to have way more interesting, and even fancy, exterior facades than the main house since those were made more recently. In terms of decor, there's stuff Gem doesn't know about that she'll probably love when she finds it. Don't let the mis-click fails get to you; everyone flubs at least once in any game they play. These errs are human, and there's nothing inherently wrong with that. ☺
