My son lost his job & was in a tight spot, he’d drive around on trash day looking for things he could pick up & resell. Not only did that get him out of the jam he was in but gave him a cushion to be able to start his own business. Now he’s his own boss, beautiful family, home & cars. It just takes effort & the willingness to do a lil hustling

You may have better sales because of your following but you both worked your butt off to achieve that following. Nobody is taking into account the amount of time you take to source your items, the gas it takes to get to these places, the time it takes to list... not to mention the water, cleaning supplies, and electricity used to clean it all. On top of all that, coming up with video ideas and I know that editing videos takes a great deal of time. You guys earn every single cent you make and in the process you entertain and teach us so much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Great video ! I agree your viewership is not an unfair advantage. I have been following you I think for two years now and you’ve built a great channel that only got better when Haily joined full time. You both have worked not just hard but consistently and I love what you’ve shared when you did the fundraiser for your church’s mission in Mexico. It’s super important to give back and help others. Kudos to you both ❤

You're videos are great and you're a good guy, but there's one thing that drives me nuts, and you like to use this term. The word is "patina." I once believed, like you and millions of other people that "patina" was surface look, feel of an item, or finish if furniture,etc. The word means none of those things. It is actually the application or colorization to metal. That is actually a pet peeve of "Dr. Lori", expert antiques appraiser. A lesson for the day.😅 Glad you have new tires!

Im in the uk and am so jealous of you in the US having goodwill. We have charity shops who are constantly putting up their prices and are very small. If you question them about why they say they a guided by ebay prices. I may just write to goodwill and ask them to open up over here.

Love your videos! You and Hayley show the ups AND downs of reselling, especially on Whatnot. I appreciate your honesty! I wouldn’t mind seeing your bins/thrift hauls BEFORE a Whatnot auction. it's really just a sad testament to the waste we Americans consume then burden the Earth with. I love it for resale purposes, but for the environment it's just horrible.
@planetmilkshake10 ай бұрын
Same in Australia. We do have thrift stores of course and have big outlets in major cities, but nothing like the goodwill bins. I enjoy seeing what you can find, but it's also cool seeing that people can make a very nice living if you're willing to put the work into it and of course it rescues these things from being dumped. I watch some vintage re-seller KZbinrs that shop at Goodwill as I'm a collector of vintage glass and kitchy ceramics and I'm in awe at what can be found just sitting on a shelf for $5 at a Goodwill over there.

J Jill “scarf” looked like a beach/bathing suit waist wrap, but one of the good things about being a husband and wife team is that the wife can clue you in about women’s fashion as you work together. I know mine does. I hold up such items and she fills me in about the key words for the listing title, and when I pay attention, might even learn something too.

I LOVE that you are realistic and know that you get prices that the average person might not. So many KZbinr don’t seem to understand that. I think you did your math incorrectly. WhatNot 8% commission is charged only on the selling price. The 2.9% is charged on the total which includes the shipping and taxes. I haven’t looked lately but isn’t it 30 cents per transaction payment fee? Not 35?? Now I’m wondering. Just trying to get you to the magic number of $1110!!!

Don't down play your hard work! All the "benefits" and "unfair" advantage is directly related to all the hard work you've both put into the lives tou live as resellers! The reason you have so many followers and watchers is because you're both KIND, hardworking, and you SHARE what you've learned! You both deserve all the success that comes with all the effort you both put in. I for one LOVE your channel! It's POSITIVE, EDUCATIONAL FUN and .....HALEY! 😂 Her excitement is CONTAGIOUS! I know I've commented multiple times on it but it's TRUE! Haley is amazing. 😍

To anyone who thinks the outcome is not realistic because of the amount of followers, keep in mind that if you are attempting to do the same thing it would take longer to shop, longer to sell, but you can get good results. Shop wisely and spend time listing in the best forum for the item

That’s how you do it. Everything we buy for us we also buy a few things to sell to ultimately get what we need free plus profit. I learned this as a teenager. This year I turn 60. It really pays to thrift. You see it as you make sales but over time it will benefit you so much. It will help you retire sooner and in better shape financially. Thrift & save on everything and you will be very blessed when you are 60. But you know I love thrifting to resale so much that I will do it as long as physically possible. And I am disabled. I was in a place crash in my 20. And by my 40’s chronic pain caught up with me. When you have something like chronic pain you need to focus on something you enjoy to get your mind off of it. That’s what I do. It’s exciting to hunt for good stuff and it still makes me excited to hear cha Ching. Y’all take care and I hope you get everything you need to make up that tire money. I’m sure you will. Leslye
