It's quite heartwarming to see all the young people thrifting ❤❤❤

The quilt looks like a friendship quilt where squares were given to family and friends to embroider, then returned and sewn together. My sister and I did one for our parent's 25th anniversary.

Zeb, I'm always jealous of the books you find. Finally found my oldest book yet, 1883. As always you found some great stuff.

Ahhhh , Jami, I sooooo wanted a granddaughter. That cute outfit made me wish. But my “baby” is finished. She says 3 sins is enough. And my grandson is adorable. Wouldn’t trade him for the world.

I loved everything I saw! These items could have easily been thrown out because of their less-than-desirable condition. The paint and elbow work gave them a new life. ❤

The first cream color quilt you found is called Matelasse design. I think it’s a French design with lots of stitching that makes it very sturdy and helps the fabric not shrink. I love all of your re-dos! 🥰

Best way to clean cast iron. Trust me I have a huge collection of very old ones that predate Lodge. If you have an electric oven set it on “clean” and put them on the oven shelves and let them go thru the cleaning cycle. It burns everything off and you can then wash off the ashes, oil and season them on the stove top.

So many little soft cover kids books that you pass up. You should grab a bunch and sell them in bundles. I would buy some for sure if they aren’t too spendy. Light weight and easy to ship in envelopes. Just sayen…

I’m not sure if you have a Habitat for Humanity Restore in your area. If you do, some of them have other things besides hardware and furniture. I’ve found old book, great frames and prints, even a tin dough raising bowl with lid ( the last one I got for $6.50). You just never know what you’ll find.
