Great video! I have never managed to get a Blue Box, but this inspires me to keep trying. I do purchase other boxes of jewelry, and I when I unpack them, I spread the contents on a large plastic cutting board which has a trough around the edge for catching juices. The surface is gentle to the jewelry, and the trough prevents loose rhinestones and pearls from getting away.

Hello Dr Lori I’ve been purchasing goodwill blue boxes & bidding online for about 2 1/2 years now ! My fabulous find was a Tiffany & Co 18k gold tear drop necklace the tear drop is marked also , took it to a jeweler and it’s the real deal 👍 Today I received another bluebox & this may sound gross but inside was someone’s gold teeth 3 gold teeth & there heavy ! You never know what’s inside these boxes 📦 The hunt is so much fun can’t wait to see what you find in yours 🤗 Best wishes Brenda

I believe I have that same heart pin. Mine is Danecraft brand. Marked on the back, but it’s kind of hard to see. I love getting jewelry lots. I bought one off eBay the other day, and one of the pieces that I didn’t pay much attention to in the photos was marked 18k and it’s white gold, it also has princess cut stones that appear to be sapphires. I haven’t saved up enough to get the Presidium yet, but I’m going to soon.

I really enjoyed this collaboration of Dr Lori & Dainty’s channel. There’s some nice pieces in that Bluebox but of course typically I find even the nicer pieces most of the time are only worth what someone is willing pay for them. I’ve been helping my bestie with her EBay & posh by buying Blueboxes and giving her some of my own stash. Some truly nicer things seem to just sit and no one buys them, then pieces that are MEH sell. It’s very unpredictable. Thank you both for sharing I always enjoy learning new things about jewelry by watching other people’s videos. Happy Holidays 🎄

A jeweler said put necklace on a slippery flat surface and open chain put your hand on and switch it around it untangle’s so quickly! Try it! Time saving.

That’s weird, I got the same exact diamond bracelet in my Goodwill box and it came from Florida. But my bracelet is marked 925 snd the small stones test as diamonds on the presidium.

The best way to get tangles out is to use 2 u pins. Don't dismiss the gold trim shell many are real 14kt trimming though its not much gold content people have paid up for these. They are more like a tourist piece and some are nicely crafted.

Dr. Lori--can you comment on the accuracy of the Presidium? I am just learning about gems, and would need to heavily rely on a tester. Have you ever had trouble calibrating one?

Most appraisers and resellers find it to be very accurate. Calibrating it is not difficult. Follow the directions. There is a lot of information about gemstones on my videos here.

The R is most likely a Ross Simmons piece he tends to use real stones in sterling silver and is still being produced today. Its just a fancy letter R.

This was fun watching you guys unbox the jewellery it reminded me of a time when I was the young girl in the sixties and my mom got a monkey from Mexico she called them Pedro of course LOL and I wonder who this monkey came from because he was a thief. The first time we brought him home and mom decided to let him run in the house and see what he would do he ran to my parents bedroom and the first thing he does he jumped on the dresser. Mom says shut the door, he's got your dad's Rolex watch. Next thing he's run under the bed and he's got my dad's watch clutched in his hands close to his body as if you would have to pry his hands with a crowbar just to get that watch. He was a troublemaker LOL seriously every time we went somewhere we couldn't let him lose because the first thing he would go to is somebody's jewellery box and how we found this out is when we went over to a good friends home and the woman of the house said let the monkey run because she thought he was so cute and innocent, but little did she know and we never knew either. It was summer and I'll never forget I was sitting in the car and my parents told me to go to the car they were about to leave next thing I hear screaming Pedro Pedro come back here he jumped into the car the windows were rolled down any sat on my lap crying as to say it's okay these are my pearls you better believe that she grabbed that woman's pearls right from on top of her dresser can you believe it. However the whole thing was funny to the woman and I was laughing and you can't say to a kid stop laughing you're encouraging the monkey. So I don't know where she got this monkey from but believe me it was well-trained

I’ve bought about 6. The first one I bought was pretty good, 3 were terrible, 1 was delivered to the wrong address and I never got it (got a refund at least) and my last one was just delivered. If the last one isn’t good I won’t be buying again. I only got this one because it was New Years drop and I was hoping to get something good that hadn’t sold in the stores.
