The wood bowl is made from a wood burl. It is a growth off of a tree.

that's correct, our gumtrees here in Australia have them. People can only get them from a fallen tree, not living. When a tree is burnt, new growth will spurt from these.

I have to tell you that I had a Jocelyn moment at the Am Vet store. I came in and found small baggies of Wheaton bottles that were 2 or three per bag for .99. And one of them had a small bluebird of happiness in it as well! I RAN with my arms loaded to get a cart. I remembered your video with your load of Wheaton baggies and I was so excited! You inspire me!

The Goodwills featured in your videos are amazing. The shelves are neat, organized & actually stocked. I live in an affluent community, but the local Goodwill is frightening. Everything is either damaged or dirty or both. Your videos give me hope that I will one day walk into our local Goodwill & leave with an item clean & Intact. A girl can dream. Love those fridge dishes. Always on the lookout for them. I use as little plastic as possible. That is a VERY cool wooden bowl. Is it walnut? Don't know, but it's gorgeous. Love that you rescue some great studio pottery! 🥣 Happy shopping :)

Not sure what kind of wood it is, but I’m pretty sure it’s a burlwood bowl-made from those big knots, or burls, that grow on the trunks of some trees. They’re not good for the trees, but people make beautiful, unique furniture and utensils, etc., out of them.

The quality of sound from the new microphone varies between devices. I'm sure that's out of your control but may clear up why some folks hear your voice low and muffled and others hear you fine. I can't understand you on my Roku tv, but hear you great on the tablet.✌

I think the wood for the burl bowl is cypress. I've seen wood artisans in Kentucky and Alabama with those. Agree with others it's worth a lot more than $ 30 /$40 dollars.
