Goodwill prices have indeed gotten insane. I've seriously considered standing on the sidewalk outside of Goodwill with a sign saying "I pay CASH for your donations! I figure I could grab the good stuff, pay the person money for stuff they were willing to just give away, and then they can donate whatever is left to Goodwill.

I went from spending $15,000 to $20,000 plus a year in Goodwill to very little in the last year or so. They're pricing resellers out of the store, which is their right as a business. The problem is 60% of the people I'd see in the Goodwill were resellers... so... I still go so I can count the mileage on my trips to town, but I find myself walking out with one item or less a lot now as opposed to 10 to 15 items just a few years ago.

I got two neutrals recently, both for mistakes the buyer made. I sell antique German animals, and I list their size in cm and inches. I photograph next to a ruler and a soda can. Two customers complained that the animals were smaller than expected. I get neutrals because they don't know what 4 inches look like? And Ebay is totally unhelpful -- they won't change feedback, no matter how ludicrous it is, apparently. The system should be overhauled -- customers leave neutral or negative feedback because they're not happy with their own decision to buy an item. That is unfair.

People get too wrapped up in 100% feedback. You can't please everyone, who cares if someone leaves a neutral or neg. If you sell hundreds or thousands of items a neg won't hurt. I requested a revision kindly stating we as sellers do not have any access to payments on eBay. Older (different each week) color tags were 50% off and once a month they had the entire store on sale 50% off. Now nothing, they have some sort of plan where you have a tag and after you spend so much (north of $20) they give you a small discount. That's it. Another problem is the stores are full of junk. If they get any good donations they are selling them elsewhere. To make a long story short, I seldom buy anything at GW these days.

I’m retired and take care of 45 feral cats, including medical, hospitalizations.I used to make around 3k a month flipping, but since COVID I’m averaging around 300.00 a month.I keep trying, but can’t seem to sell anything. I also have 2 adult autistic sons and it seems like the last 4 years has been so down .any prayers would be appreciated by anyone❤

I rarely go in a Good Will any longer. The closest to me is about an hour away but I used to go when I was in that town but it is so ridiculous with their prices that it is not even worth the effort. Plus I Have a big issue with that goodwill writing prices with a Sharpie marker or items that it won't come off of such as a back pack!! On the fabric!! Absurd!

Goodwill worse ..def not blanket pricing. Def mark up a lot of items here in Oklahoma. Sales are better on eBay this month for sure :) however that promoted listing percentage just keeps going up. (I know it’s an option but jeez!!) Have a great day Ya’ll!

Our Goodwill is gotten crazy. Perfect example is an unsealed Michael Jackson Thriller album that sells for 10 bucks at most they had priced at 75 dollars. I laughed out loud. The girl running the register said yeah i told them idiots in the back they were crazy 😂

I gave neutral feedback once because the sealed dvd was cracked when I opened it and they didn't accept returns. Sometimes feedback is based on you being satisfied or not even if the transaction went smoothly and the seller was not at fault. Not realizing that the game didn't play on the machine it wasn't intended to is a little weird for a neutral review though.

My last Neutral said "Decent". Many times people just won't leave positive feedbacks or they leave stupid ones like .... I didn't like the look of monopoly token .. it was only super tiny and they were complaining about the details in it? I've also had people leave feedbacks that said "okay" or something stupid like that. It would make it better if more people left feedbacks. I also find that people buy many items and only ;eave one feedback now. We don't have any Goodwills here but we have Value Villages (which would be Savers in the US) and Salvation Army stores and I find prices in many of hose places have gotten to the point that I go to other stores now and get items for a 1/10th of their price. Some of them I just stopped going to because their prices are not even worth paying. Last time I was in those sores there wasn't many people in the them anymore. I wonder why. When you can go on Ebay and buy stuff for less then they are selling them including the shipping .... then I have to say have they lost their mind too.

4 years ago, I was spending at least $400 weekly at Goodwill. Now I am lucky to spend $2 weekly. (ON THE POSITIVE SIDE) Now I can sell items on Ebay Cheaper than Goodwill prices. I just have to source other places

I recently received neutral feedback on a NEW in original package refrigerator filter - because they "haven't used it yet". smh

Yep yesterday a guy bought my xbox 360 game and left me neutral feedback because it did not work on his xbox one, ebay refused to remove the feedback which is ridiculous but eventually i got the buyer to amend the feedback, but ebay really need to re-evaluate thier current feedback policy, what they are showing is that unfair feedback is allowed even when its buyer error even though thier terms clearly say about buyer error. What next, a guy leaves a negative because his CD does not work in a VCR and ebay are just gonna leave that feedback up, its nonsense.

As a buyer, eBay asked me to review a sale I cancelled. Why. You can't comment on condition, shipping, or quality of the product because you didn't receive the product because you cancelled it. There is no, not applicable on the review so it becomes neutral.

I just got back from Goodwill in Massachusetts. Prices are out of control. Hats 8 to 10 dollars to start. Everything so overpriced. I remember when hats were 2.00 not long ago

Great video. Yes my neutral feedback lately has sucked! I have had a 100% positive feedback for years and I work very hard to keep it that way, however 2 negative feedbacks and it has dropped my feedback rating , to about a 98% and I’m not happy about, but whatever, I figure that’s just the world today, what can you do? Oh well. Yes my goodwill also have lost their minds, I think they have not trained their employees properly on how to run comps , you certainly can’t go by listings, you have to look at solds! 😢 I don’t think goodwill cares what I think, obviously. Thanks Mr. Brown, love your videos

Problem with goodwill they mark u prices to keep resellers away. Employees hide stuff for family and other people can’t afford them. Stuff won’t sell because to high are then thrown away or sell at the bins store for a lot cheaper. Lower the price so many things won’t go to the bins for so cheap. Long run you make more lowering the price a bit.

Most buyers who leave neutral or negative feedback think they are leaving it for ebay and NOT the actual seller. Unfortunately ebay does not have a way to educate buyers for anything they do on ebay. If you are a seller you must follow rules and get in big trouble if you don't but for buyers pretty much anything goes.

I am certainly not mad at you about your good sales but wish I could have them. I can't source the same items in this area (perhaps I will go on the road someday) so I am focusing on what I can find, and be good at it. I aspire to have sales as good as yours has been lately :-) But alas I will need higher dollar items.
