Lucia, those gold earrings at 4:38, with the frosty glass and the stone in the centre is Camphor glass. It is clear glass that has been treated with hydrofluoric acid vapors to give it a frosted whitish appearance. This effect resembles gum camphor (a fascinating thing to learn about itself!), hence the name…In jewelry the glass was often cast with a star pattern on the reverse to give it a radiant appearance. Camphor glass was made to imitate the carved rock crystal quartz (a semi precious stone) that was popular from the mid-nineteenth century through the 1930’s.” Vintage camphor glass jewellery is quite distinctive, with its square, rectangular or oval shaped glass, typically framed with silver filigree metal (either pot metal, white gold, platinum or sterling), and featuring a single marcasite gem at the center. Some pieces have “rays” emanating from the gem; others are plain. While most camphor glass is frosted/clear, some have been made in pale greens, pinks and varying shades of blue. P.S. I am extremely envious now! I have always wanted some camphor glass earrings or a necklace (or even both 😂) I just simply adore the look of it!

Hi. The boot at 28:44 is a button cover. I think that I have seen you be familiar with button covers and western bolo tie (string tie) clasps before. I agree, that lighting was a little dull but it probably depends on what time you do these videos but an idea would be to have another light going at the start and when it gets lighter just turn it off. Play around with it anyway and see what you come up with. As for the jewellery, I really liked the silver and turquoise bracelet along with the silver filigree ring that you showed not long after. I think you should keep the peacock ring for yourself as you've already had earrings and a necklace so this one should be yours. It looked in good condition. Good evening my friend, Kris. 🇦🇺
