Betty Bell is a potter from Milton, Washington. She was my neighbor when I was growing up and she was well known in the area for selling her pottery at the Puyallup Fair.

My grandpa used to repair player pianos in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s, so I grew up playing piano rolls from the ‘40’s on our piano at home. “Beer Barrel Polka” was one I remember. Doubt there’s much value for the rolls, but seeing them sure brought back memories!

If you find signed pottery you like but is cracked you should still buy it if it’s inexpensive. I use my wet tile saw to reshape pieces and make art out of art. Never claiming the piece, just the reconfigured saved saved from the landfill.
