The oil pastel portraits at 9:10 remind me of the ones my parents had done of me and my sisters at a summer festival. They must have been a 70’s thing. We all hated them! Of course, when we moved out and had our own houses, they gave them to us. Mine went straight into the garbage.

Oh my gosh! I wore that exact Oscar the Grouch costume when I was 8. I painted my upper body green & would yell, "SCRAM!" I'd also say, "I love trash." I used a small black trash bag as my Trick or Treat bag. My favorite song he sang was Swamp Mushy Muddy. Oscar was my favorite as a child. That probably explains why I'm so grumpy as an adult. I once wrote a College paper about how Oscar the Grouch was possibly a Time Lord.

Those are custom cabbage patch kids done by the cabbage patch hospital in Georgia! Alot of cabbage patch kids go up pretty high in price so look at the side tags!!! Japan , Spain , are some good ones ! Colored hair like that u can sell in the Facebook groups. Those were worth good money definitely a treasure!

I've found that a Goodwill or any thrift store that close to a flea market or antique mall is not going to have much for me to buy. That's because the vendors of the flea market and antique mall get there first since they work so close by.

The concept of an “indoor flea market” like this is so fascinating to me because we do not have them near me. The closest thing is an actual flea market that sets up once a week and it is inside and out of a big warehouse, and each vendor you pay individually like a normal flea market. But the ones you go to seem to be more like an actual store…?

$12 for the cloth CPKs is an incredible price. Xaviar Roberts created the 1st CPKs in cloth and they sold for at least $100 in the early 80’s. I have some cloth CPKs in my doll collection and I paid about $80 for each. ❤️

Love the vintage Halloween costume box. So cute. My daughter's mother in law, has some of the early handmade Cabbage Patch dolls that she had special made by the original artist Martha Nelson Thomas. They were called "doll babies" before Xavier got hold of them and marketed them as Cabbage Patch kids.

Those Cabbage Patch were the original dolls that Xavier Roberts made in Cleveland , Ga. before he sold the idea for the kids .

My sister lives in Carmel. And she finds really good stuff at a couple of her Goodwill’s. I actually can’t believe that Bob and I were so close and didn’t get to catch up with you and Michael! Maybe one day. We were at the antique mall in Carmel the day after you were. My sister lives about two blocks from there! LOL one day. One day we two will get to see the lovely Misty!
