There's an exchange between Max and Goofy where Max says, "I'm not your little boy anymore dad, I have my own life now!" and Goofy responds, "I know that, I just wanted to be part of it!" Hearing that and internalizing it as a child prevented like 80% of my annoying teen angst.

I never comment on videos on KZbin, but after seeing this one, I had to. This touched my heart in a way I was unprepared for. As an adult with ASD and the parent of a cancer survivor, this hit home in a way I wasn’t ready for. I grew up watching the shows these amazing men helped make. Getting to hear how they love what they do and how they have had such an impact on other people’s lives like mine and my son’s touches my heart so deeply. All three of them are so amazing. I wish with all my hear that I could tell them thank you for all that they have done. Words fail me. There is so much I wish I could say to these three. Jim as Darkwing was my childhood hero and my son loves him too. Bill as Goofy is so wonderful and Rob who as Yako and Pinky gave me so much joy and confidence, Rob has to be one of the kindest and humblest people still working in the film industry today. Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us. I hope you all know how much good you have done and how grateful so many of us fans are.

A lot of good memories have been hidden away in the folds of my brain. But as Rob said, these voices are like a mother's perfume or grandma's cooking. And hearing all 3 of these iconic men from our childhoods and contributing to more as we get older and new generations learn and grow... it's inspiring. Winnie the Pooh is something that will always make me happy and Jim's voice in general uncovers some of those good memories. But having three of some of the most genuine and heart-warming workers in the entire industry still today? I'm in tears and am thinking of ways to find even an ounce of that humility and compassion these men have. Bless everyone apart of this. Those poor people. they need so much help, but it's so hard to give it. Because they're behaving, coincidentally, exactly like someone with terrible manners and a crummy upbringing. The kinds of people who, the worst thing you could do is indulge them. But with these, they just need someone to talk to, be patient, slowly work their way through it. I would NOT have had the patience for 45 minutes of what Jim was talking about. You know factually that it's helping, but every instinct in your body tells you "This person doesn't care, it's doing nothing, i'm wasting my time"

Again, I’m sure that’s not how you meant it, but it sure sounds like you have a lot of issues regarding those with special needs. I genuinely hope that isn’t true.

@@micheleosullivan3122 Hey try seeing it from our perspective. Dealing with them is hard. Heartbreaking. And we are 100% wired to be bothered by how they behave. I was saying the opposite of what you're accusing. That they ARE worth it, but it's impossible to know that without... stretching your mind a bit, making some assumptions. And just giving people a shot. Meanwhile there are those who DON'T have any special disorder yet act this way due to a terrible upbringing, and you're trying to fight that while helping out the ones who can't help it... it's very frustrating. The people who do it regularly, like our man Jim here, deserve a lot of respect.

@@KairuHakubi okay, I get where you were going with your comment, then. As a sibling of a profoundly disabled adult who has had to defend their family their whole life, as well as being a 20 year special educator who has to defend their own existence in their field because of the ignorance of others, I am hard-wired to become exceedingly defensive of the disabled and their families. For the record, these people, and their families, are generally bothered by the behavior of others - real empathy is difficult to find. But seriously, these dudes? The way the talked about their interactions with individuals and their families and their genuine humility about it? Gold standard. No notes. With more people like that, my brother and my students stand a chance outside of their immediate circles.

That comment about voice actors who have fans they meet at cons that really connected with characters is so dang true. Steve Blum had a heartwarming story of an autistic child who was largely mute who really loved one of Steve's characters. The kids father told Steve that his son's love of that character was one of the few times he would ever speak. The father had to find out who voiced the character to thank the man and introduce his son to that actor. He learned it was Steve who did it and found the nearest con that Steve was going to be a guest at. The father told Steve the whole story and it brought Steve to tears. Still to this day he says that was the most emotional fan experience he ever had.

Tragically, Dana Hill, the one and only voice of Maximillian Goof from the Goof Troop series and Christmas Special, died in 1996 from long-term health issues related to diabetes, which had affected her growth as a child and teenager and was the reason she was in her late 20s and early 30s and still able to play young children characters in voice over roles up until her death. It's a huge shame she can't be here to hang out with her fellow cast members and reminiscence on their time together recording for one of my favorite early 90s animated sit-coms.

"Pull my finger, son." Goddammit that was perfect. X3 That's totally a Pete thing he would do. But seriously, love Jim, Rob, Bill, and all of the many other talented individuals who helped bring so much joy to so many of us over the years. You guys are amazing, the world needs more people like you.

I can't even begin to tell you guys how much of my childhood you 3 have been in, there are so many different shows and characters that I can remember because of all you. When I even start telling people about all of the characters that all of you play, they are mind blown, and actually tell me that they are going to look all of you guys up to what else you've done. Thank you so much for making my childhood amazing! (I am in my mid 30's now)

This is embarrassingly the first time I’ve ever heard Bill Farmer’s speaking voice and it’s honestly flooring me that’s it’s just a less exaggerated version of Hop Pop’s voice from Amphibia!
