I fished for these Snakehead's in Malaysia . There they have the BIG type of Snakehead ... There are 7 types of Snakehead's. Such fighters they are, just all muscle. And can be very dangerous, they protect their territory. I'd say during spawning that i think would be the around the same time the Bass down there spawn as well. They are very good tasting and so are the jumping carp as well....But True ! The biggest i caught in Malaysia were in the 33 inch size...They do get bigger !! ....You guys should fish for these species more...As you know big numbers of this fish will wipe out a pond or lake in no time.

Not gonna lie, these snakeheads don't seem to fight like the ones down here in south Florida. A frog along the bank or heavy cover with 40lb braid is the perfect combination to slay them. I've caught a bunch during the day but seems like the bigger ones like the night bait

I absolutely love northern Snakehead fishing in Maryland. But I absolutely hate living in Maryland lol extremely smart and vicious striking fish. I've never been to blackwater but there are also 8 pound bass in there from what I hear. Honestly a lot of snakehead have worms in the meat. And these little stick looking parasites
