I think all of the smart watches are missing the boat. Why is there no hands-free google assistant? What’s the point of the microphone and speaker if you have to press a button? Just my opinion. The first watch to have a hands-free google assistant that works well, I would buy. If battery life is the reason, then it should be activated on raise to wake functionality, so it doesn’t ruin the battery by always listening.

I think the battery is the issue. Raising arm? People raise arm for many different reasons and that would trigger listening unnecessarily throughout the day. Maybe shaking the wrist? But honestly, if you can't even touch a button...

@@TimeIdle didn’t think it needed explaining. This vid is re google assistant on a watch. That means we r interested in watches n the google assistant. Tech is supposed to make our lives easier, more efficient. Ambient computing accomplishes this. Hence, the google assistant. Why have a wake word n a speaker/mic and then push a button? It’s redundant. Do u get off ur couch n press a button on ur google assistant speaker to activate it? Hands-free/voice activation is inherent in this product/service. Even the phones have a feature to use assistant while phone is locked. Some of us work with our hands all day, some wear heavy duty gloves, some need to sterilize hands prior to touching anything, some have only one hand or arm. There r many use cases when u don’t want to or can’t have ur phone immediately available. A hands free GA Watch would solve much of this for me n others, who can’t reach into their pocket for their phone at a certain time, for whatever reason. But honestly, if u can’t understand this then maybe stop trolling.

I'm assuming this would require a wifi connection? Or is it BlueTooth? And what happens if you're out and about, and don't have a phone on you? I would expect the Assistant stuff to just not work, even to set a timer?

The Google Assistant works by connecting to the internet via the Bluetooth connection to your phone. It won't work if your phone isn't connected to your Fitbit smartwatch or if your phone doesn't have internet.

great video - can the google assistant do a text - like can you ask google assistant to text, say "Mike - i will be at the restaurant soon.. sorry on my way" .... can you make a video about it?
@Datyell2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes, I tested this, and it does work if you're using your Fitbit smartwatch with an Android phone. If you tell the Google Assistant on Fitbit "text Mike I will be at the restaurant soon" it will send a text message via your phone. Not sure if this is available if you use a Fitbit with an iPhone though

I have a problem can somebody help me beacause its always saying your regions laguage is not yet supported by fitbit sense any recomendation
@Datyell2 жыл бұрын
Hi, you may check what your Fitbit app's region/location is set to. Open the Fitbit app on your phone > Tap your account icon at the top left > "App Settings" > then see what location it is set to. To manually set a location uncheck "Automatic location".

I wish someone made a clock face of the 1970s Armitron watch then it will make it look like an authentic digital watch the closest thing I can get the Versa 3 to feel like a digital watch is a metallic band which is quite comfortable and doesn't leave a rash nor does it make me sweat.

How is Stopwatch started and stopped with my voice using Google Assistant? Thanks.
@Datyell2 жыл бұрын
Hi, say to your Google Assistant your Fitbit "Start a timer for 12 minutes" to start a timer for 12 minutes for example. You can also stop the timer by saying to the Google Assistant "Stop timer". If there are multiple timers active, the Google Assistant will ask you which timer to stop.
@aliciaawake2 жыл бұрын
@@Datyell Thanks, but I am wanting to use the Stopwatch function, hands-free, to count up, to time a run. I don't want to determine how far I can run, e.g., in 12 minutes.
@Datyell2 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I misread your original comment. No, unfortunately you cannot start a stopwatch with the Google assistant on Fitbit. There is a stopwatch on Fitbit built into the Timers app, but the Google Assistant cannot control it.

can't I make a call? since it connects to the phone
@Datyell2 жыл бұрын
Hi, it appears you can ask the Google Assistant on Fitbit to make a call, however, the call will use the speaker and microphone of your phone, not your watch, for some reason. You can answer calls on a Fitbit Versa 3 or Sense from your watch though.
