Article 15 May 2023 on WIRED : GOOGLE BARD, THE search giant’s ChatGPT rival, is already available in 180 countries and territories. But even though it’s been widely available for months and was the centerpiece of Google’s recent I/O event, it’s missing one big region. The 450 million people living in the European Union are still unable to access Bard, or any of the company’s other generative AI technologies. It’s a move that has surprised lawmakers, and even Google won’t say why it’s holding back?

There is something I'm waiting for in Bard that will be a massive help for me. I learn languages for fun so it being able to hold a conversation with me in Spanish for example will be a big help.

Very interesting. Personally I can see myself using both systems as I am learning Microsoft tools such as Power BI, but I am also interested in Bard's extra features. that you mentioned.

I tend to swap at moment, for current topical things - Google Bard. For more creativity and detail Chat GPT.

If you're learning Microsoft, you will likely be better off with Microsoft's Bing. Many of the features that are being hyped by Google are already available in Bing.

Bing is still much better, Bard is improving too!

This is absolutely huge! Google Bard is so much better than ChatGPT in my experience! And much faster to give you answers as well.

👍 I love the speed of Google Bard...but what is interesting is we're only seeing the small to medium sized models.... Unicorn looks incredible... And then there is project Gemini 👀!? . But it's not just the size, it's the data set and what you do with it - and Google: s integrations look like they have huge potential 👍

I did not have the same experience. I followed bard’s instruction and install one of the google apps that it was supposed to be built in. Was it? Nope. I was not able to get it to work.

This morning, I chatted with both Bard and ChatGPT. I found ChatGPT to be more knowledgeable, more reasonable, and more reliable. I don't feel like I can trust the information provided by Bard.

Could not get bard to work on the google app so I gave up and uninstalled it.
