Google Chat PWA

Google Chat was already subpar, to begin with. If Google doesn't care to keep around something useful, I don't care about the replacement, no matter how often they try to push it down my throat. I've had to jump through hoops to get it off my Gmail page. Now I just hope I can uninstall the PWA and keep it off my phone without it being shoved down my throat again. I won't let anyone infect my phone with PWA spam, including Google.

5:45 No, it's not a free-standing app, it's just a fancy link to the website in a browser window that had its browser bars and buttons removed. Nothing more, nothing less. There is no point in "installing" a website you can already visit. And with Google promoting this malware, they don't deserve the attention.

Hi, i got automatically switched to this "redesigned chat app". How do i enable the preview message box so i get a new message prompt even if the app is minimized? Sometimes, I missed the sound notifications.

I TOTALLY agree with you. I wish for the same. I miss some as well. Be sure to leave in app feedback. And add it everytime you wish you had something. The more feedback the more things get looked at... (squeeky wheel)
