Steve - you are just getting too slick. I have been following you for years and have learned more from your blogs, vlogs, videos, whatever you call this stuff than from anything else. I know a lot has probably changed since you did this video. Because I have several clients that may change (come and go), I created groups by right-clicking the + and keep a bunch of weblinks relevant to that client. But it seems that takes bandwidth. I guess I could create bookmark folders on the menu line that would have a similar effect but a little slower to access perhaps.

Useful app that takes about 1/2 of inch space on the desktop is the Google website. On the top right hand side there is little icon called Google apps, click on that and we have all Google apps like, Gmail, calendar, google drive , photos etc. I dont like show bookmark bar because it takes some space.

What they didn’t do though is block the old Google bookmark site. At least I was able to access my saved bookmarks.

Great video as usual. I have a question, slightly off topic. I have been experimenting with only using my Android Tablet and phone for the past 8 months. With the possible exception of doing this years taxes, I find it is working very well. I especially love the portability of the set up. There are definitely things I have yet to figure out, like setting up folders and filters in gmail on the tablet, but for the most part, it has potential. Have you developed a course for those of us looking to shift away from the laptop to just a tablet or phone with a data plan? I didn't see one addressing such a thing on your website. Cheers, Greg

I am a long long time Apple user, with the exception of Safari. For many years I used Chrome until they greatly improved Safari, I tried it again for a while, ended up loving it and ditched Chrome. But lately I have not been happy with Safari's performance, its gotten too slow and laggy for me, even with just one tab open I am constantly getting a message that its using too much engery, it slows or stops everything and irritates me greatly. Not having used Chrome for several years now, do you suggest I go back to it? Out of frustration one day I did redownload Chrome a few months ago, but havent jumped back into using it again, mainly becuase I dont want to go through the pain of setting it back up to my liking. What are your thoughts on Safari vs Chrome in 2019? Thanks!

Steve, it sounds like G Suite is not for for the average joe. Well I have G Suite $5/mo and it has awesome potential if only you can do a video on it, once its installed; how you would structure folders; naming conventions, tips and tricks. 1. Chrome now has a feature to group the tabs and color code them. 2. They can also allow you to search directly to websites using the web address bar. 3. You can turn websites into applications for your desktop. There are also tons of extensions that I can vouch for like: Extensity- Easily Enable/Disable your extensions UBlock Origin- Helps Against Spyware and Adware on Websites The Marvelous Suspender- To suspend tabs that hog your networks performance Picture to Picture Extension- Let's you watch videos from a website while browsing other tabs. Volume Master- Increase your Volume up to 600% There are many more where that came from but that is basically my go to everyday extensions. My theme is Atom One Dark Theme.

@@dottotech I've come to learn that it's relatively new. So, you'll get it sometime, I bet. Big feature is that it sync's all your text messages from your phone to your computer. This is, or so I've heard, similar to something that iPhone users already have. I just got a new Galaxy S9 and the Verizon messenger+ no longer includes the feature of auto-forwarding my texts to my email. So, I've switched to the Google version to achieve almost the same thing. Today is day 1, so far, I love it. But, still, I can't find a way to include a signature (which I've been used to) and, since I use it for business I really need that. Very disappointed that I cannot set a Menu Bar at the top of the page. In my pc journey since 1998 I have always had this familiar work tool. The 3-dot icon opens a drop down menu which is clumsy and an extra click to use. Google is arrogant to deny a choice to chrome users. I shall continue to use Firefox until there is choice to use a menu bar in Chrome. What a shame as I've just enjoyed your Chrome Basics KZbin video and was considering to change. Unfortunately your chrome screen (from 4 years ago) looks very different to the current version of Chrome.
