Google Chromecast Audio Upgrade | Digital Optical Cable

Hey I have 2 chromecast audios and they work great. But when i stop casting and then go back to cast they don't show up, like they have lost connection or something, and don't show in available devices. I have to unplug and plug back in to get them to work. IT IS SOOO ANNOYING! Any ideas anyone?

As far as I know there is only one version of Chromecast audio and this cable works excellent.

Hello! If I plug my Chromecast Audio to my JBL Studio soundbar via optical cable does the soundbar turn on automatically when I start to cast from Chromecast?

No.. You need HDMI CEC control for that.

Not as clean sounding as this cable but still works and worth the upgrade for the convenience factor.

The chromecast has a pretty decent Dac in it. Probably better than most entry level receivers. Belive it or not. It uses the AK4330 chip which is a good chip.

Unfortunately Chromecast Audio discontinued by Google. One of the best product :(

Likely because most new receivers will include some type of wireless connection. The only people buying them we're guys like me with old equipment. 😁

I think you can use the new generation chromecast with an HDMI to Optical converter. Im trying it, hope it works.
