It was the router firewall for me. Desible or set it to low-medium it worked. When I set it high from router firewall it is not allowing chromecast again and disconnects. Google needs more private data for sure :)

I did reset it but after it says "connected to the network" then boots for few seconds and it goes cannot reach the internet

Mine started having loads of issues after the expensive non-upgrade streamer was released.

Legend, I press the factory reset button from the google chromecast not from the system and it worked. I would advise anyone trying this method to just use a different language and a different account
