Thank you. Hooray, I got it working! For some reason my phone dropped my Chromecast as a devise choice though it showed in my Google Nest and my tablet. Once reset, it all works.

I am considering buying a Kogan 2500 Lumens HD Wi-Fi Mini Projector (M600) from DickSmith (🇦🇺 online store). + since I don't have a Smart TV, I use a Chromecast Dongle + wanted to make sure I could plug it in to cast Netflix, Stan, KZbin, etc before paying $$ for a projector. It should have an output for headphones and you get a male to male 3.5 audio jack cord and plug it in to the speaker, or you get the bluetooth adapter dongle that transmits the signal and pair it with the speakers. If it will not play through a headphone jack on your projector but does play on your phone while casting through the projector, it may be a problem with your phone settings that can be fixed through your sounds and vibration category in the settings of your phone by finding where it allows you to play your phone's audio through a tethered device.

Not on the chromecast but if u have an iPhone u can get a lightning to hdmi cable to do that but it won’t work with Netflix, Hulu or Amazon prime videos!

Ooo loads of projectors, you could really help me. Please? New phone Google projector only has micracast. :( So brought a new projector with the false statement Chromecast installed. Nope. Brought hdmi - c cable like said in instructions.. my phone doesn't allow that. Looked at settings/solutions... Chromecast... I want it to screenmirror... Ie. I want it to zoom in and out on my photos, open word documents etc... Will Chromecast work, or shall I just send my phone back and get one with microcast? :(

Apple's Digital Hdmi Adapter VS chromecast... well there are pros and cons to both... but if u just wanna cast movie apps like youtube, netflix, etc to show on projector then go w chromecast. The only thing is u need to have home WiFi network.

You cannot cast local vids you can only screen mirror Android phones. Quality does not decrease but u must mirror instead of cast. With mirror what ever is on ur phone is on screen so if u switch from local video to text messenger the video will stop on screen and show what ever is in ur phone at the time. The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.

No u cannot cast without WiFi network with Chromecast. However take a look at screenbeam mini 2. It’s a hdmi dongle like chromecast but u can screen mirror with no WiFi but u need an android phone not iPhone. If u have iPhone then u need Apple TV hooked up to projector which does not require WiFi network either.
