Initially, I had no interest in competitive programming and these contests, etc. After watching your videos, I'm very interested in and signed up for a local code contest in our state

I postponed watching this video until after I solved the problems myself. It is good to see how you solved these problems so quick and without wasting failed submissions.
@Errichto3 жыл бұрын
Good idea. You will understand the problem better (and thus the technique too) if you try to do it yourself first.

Dont screencast this year if you think it will impact your performance. Just an analysis video after each round will suffice. See you in the finals 👍🏻

Wow, this is the first time I've tried to actually understand the problem with you, and understood it (almost half of it), you're great 👌👌

i believe you should make a thorough and updated video about how to start competitive programming and what to expect after some stages. ps. last one was great but this time you could add approximate stages or what to learn at this time

Since you started making vids on your main channel, I have a suggestion: "A day in the life of a full time Competitive Programmer"

Not anytime soon. I prefer to focus on educational videos, which will actually teach you stuff.

I want myself to be a part of code jam finals ,but sadly i have not even qualified the qualification round which says i am ultra NOOB in competitive programming. (I haven't finished the whole video yet...but wanted to say this) Would you make a video of how to do the Interactive Problems ....they just seem so long and bizzare that I didn't bother to attempt one in the qualifications round😅

Can I excel CP at age 21 when I am an electronics 2nd year student? Idk But I will surely start it because I was motivated by erichto and lex fridman

Not motivated but got to know and liked it very much

Sure you can. Unless by excelling you mean winning world championships in a few years - that might be hard to achieve :D the very top has years of experience but you can for sure aim for top 1%

The video is very helpful but I actually didn't understand why Benford's Law would apply to random numbers. (This is used in problem B) Benford's law is usually seen in populations, stock prices, lengths of rivers, etc. But those are not actually random numbers. Maybe I missed something about the numbers not being actually random? Edit: Oh I see why this works now, M is not always a power of 10, therefore, the numbers are uniformly distributed, but the digits aren't. I still wouldn't say this is by Benford's law though
