Having lived in San Francisco my whole life I can tell you first hand tbis city has a palpable underlying dark demonic vibe. Not surprisingly it is the birthplace of the Satsnic church and the home of some of the most sordid figures involved in bringing forth the transhumanist agenda. Austin, Nashville, Charlotte, Raleigh, all sorts of cities that used to be nice. My area has seen a huge influx of people and they are mostly from California and NY and some from Texas. I saw a story about it yesterday. I really thought Alabama having the reputation it has would keep people from wanting to move here because it seems the rest of the country believes we are all backward and stupid and our stars dont look good for education and such on a stare level. Our politicians sure make it look like it is true but we have had so many people move here it is hard to find doctors or vets or anything that isn't completely overloaded. Yes, I agree. Big tech destroys cities. Austin is a sad place thanks to big tech. My mid sized city just brought in Amazon and the apartments going up all around look like shit. They bring their crap employees with them and then they vote. We lost space command thanks to our idiot senator and the abortion policies here. We aren't going to vote our way out of it or move and make it all better. If there is somewhere nice to go, word gets out and some jerk at a magazine puts it out that a city is the best place to live and boom 5 years later the city I have lived in my whole life is unrecognizable and way too many rude people have moved in. Most are not from the south and some don't speak English. Nobody ever gets to vote if they want their city or area to be completely changed in 5 years and if they want their taxes to keep going up and jobs to get harder to find and rent going higher and higher. Then you get a whole lot of people moving in that thinks the place needs to be more like where they came from and so they set about doing just that and flipping seats to democrat for the state house. I wrote to my senators and governor and representatives when SCOTUS brought down Roe and I tried to explain that of course this was going to change thins and it would be best to have a ballot measure just for abortion and that way the state could go on having the policies most people want and they could keep their jobs and the people would be able to decide on abortion. I dont see why counties cant decide on abortion for their area even But no, we don't have state initiatives and ballot measures like Kansas and other states. They could have been reasonable and had some exemptions for medical anomalies or for rape or set it at 15 weeks or something because this issue will cause people to lose elections which will change the other policies we all agree on and care about like law enforcement. So now we have the beginning of a state as red as can be getting a huge influx of people that like the policies that keep home values up because the homeless problem is dealt with and basically all the reasons people flee places that allow open drug use and all the bad stuff and have criminals running the place . So here we are now with a ton of people that will vote the way they always have and people also angry about the abortion issue voting for change. SCOTUS really did the democrats a huge favor with that ruling. Now the rest of the country can enjoy democrat policies and with all the new voters that have been brought in on our tax dollars we can head toward one party rule forever while the republicans do nothing. All they seem to care about is seeing if a national abortion ban will make people more likely to vote for them. The answer is a big fat no but i realize they need those donor funds that keep them going and it is truly creepy in a way that they have such big funding and donating for that one issue. Trump was even pro choice but when he ran he soon realized that to be running as a republican you must get that money from people wanting abortion banned. So, that's what he did even tho I know Trump himself is pro choice. He says it in old interviews. Greetings, am a retired IT tech worker. Back in the day the aerospace industry sent recruiters to universities and most of us, after graduation landed well paid jobs right away. Some of the companies offered sign on cash bonuses and 401K plans) after certain months of employment) and many would match dollar for dollar. Am retired now. It’s a bummer that the current generation seem to be having it rough finding steady work with decent pay and retirement plans; such as, 401k plans. The beginning of the end for Silicon Valley started before COVID. With fiber optic internet becoming more common in all large metro areas living on the west coast is less necessary. As a result Austin and Miami have become much more attractive to new tech startups than ever before. Very few new companies are establishing themselves in the Bay area.
