what about licensing? Is a special license required for this equipment? we ran into a problem and suppliers cannot explain

Hi Google. We just installed 4 of these systems and are highly disappointed so far for 3 specific reasons 1. In the necessary USB Mode to have the Logitech hardware working with google meet you do not have any chance to administrate the logitech hardware. For instance - for firmware updates you need to switch either to appliance mode or connect another hardware like a winPC or Mac with a working Collab OS Software like Logitech Sync. This means switching cables and reconnect afterwards to the chrome system, something you do not wanna do for each little firmware update especially not in a hard wired and most likely not easy accessible conference setup. - the same applies to switching settings of the Logitech hardware like for example audio, noise canceling, microphone level ans so on.... You do not have access to these setting via the Tap or the Chromebox so you need again to connect another device with a Collab OS software which again means rewiring of the whole setup twice. - there is no Lan access via the Google or Logitech software which means you need to to every necessary change like described before and for every room again and again. We are already annoyed with 4 rooms, but imagine you administrate more of these systems in a bigger organisation. This disqualifies the solution from our point of view as a professional solution at the moment. 2. In the documentation it does not say anything about the collaboration or recommended setup of the google meet software and the Logitech hardware settings. For instance you can enable or disable noise cancelling on both sides, but what is recommended or testet best? Finding out by ourselves would take us ages, due to the described problems above. 3. If you buy the Rally Plus room kit as recommended for large rooms, be aware that the Autoframing feature as well as any other following mode by the camera does not work in this setup. We really do not understand how this missing feature is not mentioned actively in any of the sales and marketing material or even this video. Especially in large rooms an active camera makes sens instead of a static picture. so why is this Setup recommended instead of the Rally Bar system. Today we would have definitely prefered the Bar over the Rally Plus due to this issue. Last but not least (but this does not refer to google) please be aware that in case you do not have the perfect Accustic conference room smaller than 12-16 squaremeters, you need at least one additional mic Pod for the Rally Bar Systems to have decent audio and voice recognition on the other side, although these room kits are designed for large rooms as well. This means extra costs of at least 500€ per setup (micpod 300€, extension cable 200€!!) plus the costs of bringing the cable either into the wall, the floor etc. as it connects to the bar and not to the table-tab. We are in contact with the Logitech technical support and they really try to help. It does not look very promising to be honest as it seems that this solution has not been testet enough for administrative and professional use-cases. We still hope for help, support or compensation but so far we really can not recommend these Logitech Roomkit products for Google Meet from an administrative point of view.

This is probably great but laying out a bunch of equipment and explain what they are (including specs) does not communicate to me why I should by it. Give us a vision of what this stuff can do (and no the picture of the conference room was not enough).
