It seemed to work. One extra step for precaution i suggest taking is that after you are through with all the steps the video showed you go ahead and factory reset your phone again. Then proceed through the factory reset screens as one normally does (As opposed to following the steps in the video again), you should be able to sign in with the same google account you used when following the video. Just to get rid of any possible baddies the downloads we installed may or may not have contained.
