I'm impressed with your review! I got 3a Xl, with $250 trade in value for iphone 6s. Google is also giving $100 store credit. Their promotion is aggressive! Ended up paying about $130

How did you get $250 trade in value for the 6s? I have the 6s plus and mine works perfectly, no cracks or major dents but I only got 100$ trade in value.

@@KhoaTran0720 while best buy and B&H? were giving $100 store credit, Google was instead accepting iPhone 6s and over for very high trade in value along with their $100 store credit where we can use to purchase google products. I believe Google had this promotion in the beginning to bring over a lot of apple users. Heard their strategy worked to a degree

@@aphro123star I don't think the same promotion is going on at the moment, but I am pretty sure Google will have one soon. Pixel 4 leaks are coming out and that could mean promotions on 3a series.

Pixel 3a is solid I have the Samsung Galaxy 10e which is solid as well but I finally realized what turns me off with Samsung. Copy what Andriod already offers. Bixby vs Google assistant, photo gallery vs Google photos, mail vs Gmail, Samsung app store vs Google play store. Using the Pixel 3a and pure stock Android is so smooth. Samsung stop trying to out do Android. I'm selling my Galaxy 10e .

I'm debating between the 3a and the S10e. The 3a is $571 and the S10e is $714 here. Is the 3a worth that much or should I go for the S10e? Which is the better value for me?

Good comments but sorry, the "second faster" for Google assistant comment is proof we all just need to slow down a bit! As for those who want that..... here we go again...FAST charging - just remember, a battery would rather be charged (and WILL LAST LONGER)at a slow trickle than forcing the charge all at once! Would you rather be shocked by 1.5 volts or 220 Volts?(or I can get more technical about AMPS) Love my Pixel 3a (replaced Samsung S7) for this older, take life slow & easy person!

Very good review Josh. Had the 3a for a week now and what blows me away about this phone is it's ability to take night shots. When I use night sight it makes the pictures look like they were taken during the day. Incredible. I was soo spoiled by Nokia Lumia phones with their great cameras and now the Pixel is probably one of the best if not THE BEST phone in this price range for snapping pictures.

Very good review. I like the polycarbonate build quality. Very durable & an OLED display, the 3.5 & that camera. Stock android & camera will sell this phone especially at 399.00. No other mid-ranger offers this great camera!

Can you please tell me how many volume steps it has when connected to bluetooth?

Great question! In my experience, the volume steps are the same when you control the volume of a Bluetooth device with the volume rocker on the pixel device. However, with Bluetooth headphones, like the pixel buds, the volume steps are reduced by half when you change the volume on the headphones/buds in my experience with the pixel buds. So normally using the volume rocker on the pixel there are 25 volume steps but when controlling the volume with pixel buds connected over Bluetooth there are only 11 volume steps. It bugs me a bit since it feels like I never get the volume I actually want unless I use the volume rocker on the phone or the Google Assistant on the buds to set a specific volume level.

Great review. I was initially thinking that making comparisons to a 2yo iPhone lacked relevance but for many this is their point of reference... as I type on iPhone 7! Hmmm could I really leave apple?

Yeah, I think Google is trying to Target iOS users with older gen phones. iMessage is still a way people seem locked in plus Google doesn't have a real competitor to the Apple Watch which will also keep some people on iOS. Personally, I'm starting to like Andriod a bit better. It feels more cutting edge and does so many little things better than iOS, but we'll see if those feelings last over the next 6 months.

Pretty misleading title. The Pixel 3a is sold at 570 USD in India, 600 USD in Malaysia, 670 in Australia. How about no. Not for everyone.

@@dhilsiva i actually used s10e as well for a day. Samsung display is the best in market. It was soo crisp. But you will get very slow android updates. If you don't care about updates and just want a phone packed with tons of features, best display and good camera go with S10E, you can even use Sd card to expand storage. However, it's more expensive than pixel 3a. Buy pixel 3a if you are a Google fan. Pixel are first in line to get updates too

^yeah, looks like it's only 64 GB. I'm only using like a third of it right now but I'll be curious to see overtime how it goes with that storage amount compared to the 256 GB on my iPhone.
